Here are the highlights of the 18 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night:
NBC (5.313 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #1) was the top draw on the first night of 2013 thanks to a marathon of "Betty White's Off Their Rockers" (4.943 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T7), another "Betty White's Off Their Rockers" (5.086 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T4), yet another "Betty White's Off Their Rockers" (5.668 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.6, #3) and even "Betty White's Off Their Rockers" (5.692 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) plus a new "Parenthood" (5.245 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2).
CBS (8.637 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2) then had to settle for second place with its all-repeat lineup of "NCIS" (10.614 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T7), "NCIS: Los Angeles" (9.290 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #6) and "Vegas" (6.007 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #9).
Next up was ABC (3.010 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #3) with encores of "Shark Tank" (5.175 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T4), "Happy Endings" (2.333 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #10), "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" (1.555 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T14) and "Nashville" (1.910 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T14).
Meanwhile, FOX (1.641 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #4) offered up second runs of "Ben & Kate" (1.844 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T11), another "Ben & Kate" (1.444 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T14), "New Girl" (1.596 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T11) and another "New Girl" (1.682 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T11).
And finally, a repeat of "Hart of Dixie" (1.056 million viewers, #18; adults 18-49: 0.3, #18) plus a new "Emily Owens, MD" (1.298 million viewers, #17; adults 18-49: 0.4, #17) closed out the night on The CW (1.177 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5).
In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Dixie" delivered a 0.4 rating while "Emily" posted a 0.5 rating.

* At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in
metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
