Live + 7 Day Ratings: ABC's Claims 2 of the 3 Biggest Gainers with "Modern Family" and "Grey's Anatomy"
Live + 7 Day Ratings for the week of 1/7/13 (Week #16):
Based on Nielsen's TV playback data for the week, ABC claimed 2 of the 3 biggest gainers via time-shifted viewing in Adults 18-49, including the #1 show (Modern Family) and the #1 drama (Grey's Anatomy). Gaining +2.3 rating points in the Live +7 Day numbers, Modern Family was the week's biggest gainer among young adults for its 10th straight telecast, while Grey's Anatomy added on +1.6 rating points to its originally reported Live + Same Day rating to qualify as the week's biggest drama gainer for its 3rd consecutive telecast.
· Based on Live + 7 Day ratings for the week, Grey's Anatomy emerged as TV's #1 drama in Adults 18-49 (4.8 rating), leapfrogging over CBS' NCIS (4.7) and Person of Interest (4.3). In the initially reported Live + Same day ratings, the ABC drama placed behind both CBS dramas in the young adult demo.
· ABC delivered 7 of the Top 15 biggest overall gainers, with each show adding on at least 2.5 million viewers over their first-reported Live + Same Day numbers: Modern Family - top gainer overall (+4.63 million), Castle (+3.88 million), Grey's Anatomy (+3.46 million), Nashville (+2.91 million), Once Upon a Time (+2.82 million), Revenge (+2.71 million) and Scandal (+2.51 million).
· Among Adults 18-49, ABC delivered 8 of the Top 15 biggest gainers via time-shifted viewing (the most for any network), with each show picking up at least 1.0 rating point over their originally reported L+SD ratings: Modern Family (+2.3 rating - 4.7 to 7.0), Grey's Anatomy (+1.6 rating - 3.2 to 4.8), Once Upon a Time (+1.3 rating - 2.8 to 4.1), Nashville (+1.2 rating - 2.1 to 3.3), Revenge (+1.1 rating - 2.0 to 3.1), Castle (+1.1 rating - 1.9 to 3.0), Private Practice (+1.1 rating - 1.1 to 2.2) and Scandal (+1.0 rating - 2.8 to 3.8).
