"Late Late Show" Tops "Late Night" in Viewers and is Also First in Key Demos
CBS's LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN placed first in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and adults 18-34, tying with "The Tonight Show," according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Feb. 8.
The LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN posted a 2.5/06 in households with an average of 3.47m viewers, up +4% in households (from 2.4/06) and +1% in viewers (from 3.44m) compared to the same week last year. The LATE SHOW averaged 0.8/03 in adults 18-49, 1.1/04 in adults 25-54 and 0.5/02, in adults 18-34.
The LATE SHOW beat "The Tonight Show" in households (2.5/06 vs. 2.4/06, +4%), tied NBC in adults 25-54 (1.1/04, each), adults 18-49 (0.8/03, each) and adults 18-34 (0.5/02, each) and was in a virtual tie in viewers (3.47m vs. 3.52m).
The LATE SHOW also beat "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in households (2.5/06 vs. 1.8/05, +39%), viewers (3.47m vs. 2.48m, +40%), adults 18-49 (0.8/03 vs. 0.7/03, +14%), adults 25-54 (1.1/04 vs. 0.9/04, +22%) and adults 18-34 (0.5/02 vs. 0.4/02, +25%). This marks the first time the LATE SHOW beat "Jimmy Kimmel Live" outright in key demographics since the show's move to 11:30 PM.
THE LATE LATE SHOW with CRAIG FERGUSON delivered 1.2/04 in households with 1.64m viewers while averaging 0.6/03 in adults 25-54, 0.5/03 in adults 18-49 and 0.3/02 in adults 18-34. THE LATE LATE SHOW beat "Late Night" in viewers (1.64m vs. 1.62m) and tied NBC in households (1.2/04, each), adults 25-54 (0.6/03, each) and adults 18-49 (0.5/03, each).
