"Survivor: Caramoan - Fans vs. Favorites" Ties "American Idol" in Adults 18-49 in Common Hour for the First Time Ever and Finishes in Closest Competitive Position in Viewers
"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" Sweeps Time Period
SURVIVOR: CARAMOAN - FANS vs. FAVORITES, CRIMINAL MINDS and CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION all posted week-to-week growth in adults 18-49, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Wednesday, May 8.
From 8:00-9:00 PM, SURVIVOR: CARAMOAN - FANS vs. FAVORITES was first in adults 25-54 (3.4/09), second in households (5.7/09), viewers (9.33m) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (2.5/08, with FOX's "American Idol"). This is the first time SURVIVOR has tied "American Idol" in adults 18-49 and for the fourth straight week, SURVIVOR: CARAMOAN - FANS vs. FAVORITES finished in its closest competitive position this season with "American Idol Wednesday" in their common hour in viewers (-160,000). Compared to last week, SURVIVOR was up +4% in adults 18-49 (from 2.4/08), even in adults 25-54 and added +80,000 viewers (from 9.25m, +1%).
CRIMINAL MINDS was second in households (6.3/10), viewers (9.92m), adults 25-54 (3.3/08) and averaged 2.5/07 in adults 18-49. Compared to last week, CRIMINAL MINDS was up +4% in adults 18-49 (from 2.4/07) and even in adults 25-54.
CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was first in households (6.3/10), viewers (9.73m), adults 25-54 (2.9/07) and adults 18-49 (2.2/06). Compared to last week, CSI was up +2% in households (from 6.2/10), +7% in adults 25-54 (from 2.7/07), +16% in adults 18-49 (from 1.9/05) and added +240,000 viewers (from 9.49m, +3%).
For the night, CBS was second in households (6.1/10), viewers (9.66m), adults 25-54 (3.2/08) and adults 18-49 (2.4/07).
