"Criminal Minds'" May 15 Broadcast Moves Past "American Idol" in Adults 18-49 with L+3 Day Lift
THE BIG BANG THEORY delivered its largest L+7 Day lift in series history in both viewers and adults 18-49, adding +5.02 million viewers and +2.3 rating points in adults 18-49, according to Nielsen ratings for the week ending May 5.
THE BIG BANG THEORY'S L+7 Day audience swelled to 21.31 million from 16.29 million live plus same day, while its adults 18-49 average jumped to 7.2 from 4.9.
NCIS's L+7 Day audience also surged past 21 million viewers with the addition of +3.40 viewers (21.69 from 18.29m) from its live plus same day average.
According to Nielsen L+3 Day viewing for May 15, CRIMINAL MINDS added +2.07m viewers (12.63m from 10.56m), +0.9 rating points in adults 25-54 (4.3 from 3.4) and +0.8 rating points in adults 18-49 (3.4 from 2.6) from live from same day.
CRIMINAL MINDS moved past "American Idol Wednesday" in L+3 Day rating in adults 18-49 (3.4 vs. 3.3, +3%). This is the second straight week, CRIMINAL MINDS outperformed "Idol" in adults 18-49 with L+3 Day viewing added. In both weeks, CRIMINAL MINDS trailed "American Idol Wednesday" when the live plus same day ratings were released.
