ABC Earns Second on Monday with "The Bachelorette" and "Mistresses"
ABC earned second place on Monday evening in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49 with The Bachelorette and Mistresses.
Opposite the Monday finale of The Voice from 8-10pm, ABC's The Bachelorette took second place in its 2-hour time period with viewers and young adults. The ABC unscripted series was up 7% week to week in Adults 18-34 to hit a best-since premiere number - since 5/27/13.
During the 10 o'clock hour, Mistresses held the #2 position against its network rivals with Adults 18-49. Please Note: From the Live + Same Day ratings to the Live + 3 Day ratings, each of the first two telecasts of Mistresses have increased by 5-tenths of a rating point in Adults 18-49.

ABC earned second place on Monday evening in Total Viewers (4.9 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.5/4) with "The Bachelorette" and "Mistresses."
"The Bachelorette" (8:00-10:00 p.m.)
Opposite the Monday finale of "The Voice" from 8:00-10:00 p.m., ABC's "The Bachelorette" took second place in its 2-hour time period with viewers (5.4 million) and young adults (1.6/5). The ABC unscripted series was up 7% week to week in Adults 18-34 (1.5/5 vs. 1.4/5) to hit a best-since premiere number - since 5/27/13.
"Mistresses" (10:00-11:00 p.m.)
During the 10 o'clock hour, "Mistresses" held the No. 2 position against its network rivals with Adults 18-49 (1.2/3). A note about increasing DVR penetration and year-to-year rating comparisons: Year-to-year rating comparisons based on the Live + Same Day data stream are distorted by the level of DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample, which has jumped up to 48% currently, from 44% at the same point in 2012. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which may not be reflected in the overnight next day numbers. The only truly valid year-to-year comparison would be one based on the Live + 7 Day metric, once those stats are released by Nielsen.
