CBS Sweeps Week in Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54 with Its Highest Ratings of Summer

CBS SWEEPS WEEK IN VIEWERS, ADULTS 18-49 AND ADULTS 25-54

Network Posts Largest Weekly Audience and Highest Adult 18-49 and Adults 25-54 Ratings of the Summer

"Under the Dome" is the # 1 Broadcast in Viewers and Top Drama Broadcast in Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54

"Big Brother Sunday" is the Week's Top Non-Sports Broadcast in Adults 18-49

CBS Has Seven of the Top 10 Broadcasts of the Week in Viewers and 6 of Top 10 in Adults 18-49

CBS was first in viewers (for the ninth consecutive week), adults 18-49 and adults 25-54, registering its largest audience and its highest adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 ratings of the summer, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending August 25.

(Editor's Note: Time Warner Cable has blacked out CBS stations to 3.2 million of its customers in New York, Los Angeles and Dallas).

UNDER THE DOME was the week's #1 broadcast in viewers and the top drama broadcast in adults 18-49.

BIG BROTHER SUNDAY was the week's #1 non-sports broadcast in adults 18-49.

For the week in viewers: CBS (6.12m), NBC (4.71m), ABC (4.08m) and FOX (2.61m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in both adults 25-54 (2.0/06) and adults 18-49 (1.5/05). Compared to the same week last year, CBS was up +5% in viewers and adults 25-54 and was even in adults 18-49.

CBS Weekly Highlights:

UNDER THE DOME was first in viewers (10.64m), adults 25-54 (3.4/09) and adults 18-49 (2.4/07). Compared to last week, UNDER THE DOME was up +3% in adults 25-54 (from 3.3/08), even in adults 18-49 and added +280,000 viewers (from 10.36m, +3%).

UNFORGETTABLE was second in viewers (6.80m) and adults 25-54 (1.7/04) and averaged 1.1/03 in adults 18-49. Compared to last week, UNFORGETTABLE was up +6% adults 25-54 (from 1.6/04), even in adults 18-49 (1.1/03) and added +230,000 viewers (from 6.57m, +3%).

BIG BROTHER WEDNESDAY was first in viewers (6.38m), adults 25-54 (2.8/08) and adults 18-49 (2.2/08). Compared to last week, BIG BROTHER WEDNESDAY was up +12% in adults 25-54 (from 2.5/08), +10% in adults 18-49 (from 2.0/07) and added +210,000 viewers (from 6.17m, +3%).

BIG BROTHER THURSDAY was first in viewers (6.31m), adults 25-54 (2.6/07) and adults 18-49 (2.1/06).

BIG BROTHER SUNDAY was second in viewers (7.17m), adults 25-54 (3.1/08, -0.1 behind NBC) and adults 18-49 (2.5/07, -0.1 behind NBC). Compared to last Sunday, BIG BROTHER SUNDAY was up +19% in both adults 25-54 (from 2.6/07) and adults 18-49 (from 2.1/06) and added +690,000 viewers (from 6.48m, +11%). BIG BROTHER SUNDAY posted the season's best delivery on any night in viewers and adults 25-54, matched season best delivery on any night in adults 18-49.

On Friday, NFL PRE-SEASON FOOTBALL (S) (8:00-11:15 PM) scored a 4.8/09 in households with 7.68m viewers and a 3.6/13 in men 25-54, 2.9/12 in men 18-49, 2.6/13 in men 18-34, 2.9/10 in adults 25-54, 2.3/09 in adults 18-49 and 2.0/09 in adults 18-34. NFL PRE-SEASON FOOTBALL was Friday's #1 program in key men and adult demographics.

On Saturday, NFL PRE-SEASON FOOTBALL (S) (8:00-11:21 PM) scored a 2.9/06 in households with 4.42m viewers and a 1.9/06 in men 25-54, 1.6/06 in men 18-49, 1.2/06 in men 18-34, 1.5/05 in adults 25-54, 1.2/05 in adults 18-49 and 1.0/05 in adults 18-34.
