THE CRAZY ONES, featuring the return of Robin Williams to network television, premiered to 15.61 million viewers, making it the season's #1 new program, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Thursday, Sept. 26.

THE CRAZY ONES more than doubled the premiere of "The Michael J. Fox Show" in viewers (vs. 7.23m, +115%), doubled in adults 25-54 (vs. 2.7, +100%) and nearly doubled it in adults 18-49 (vs. 2.1, +90%) from 9:00-9:30 PM.

At 8:00 PM, the seventh season premiere of THE BIG BANG THEORY was first in viewers (18.30m), adults 25-54 (7.0/20) and adults 18-49 (5.3/18). Compared to last year's season premiere, THE BIG BANG THEORY was up +11% in adults 25-54 (from 6.3/17), +6% in adults 18-49 (from 5.0/16) and added +2.64m viewers (from 15.66m +17%). THE BIG BANG THEORY posted premiere highs in these measures.

At 8:30 PM, a second episode of THE BIG BANG THEORY (S) was first in viewers (19.52m), adults 25-54 (7.6/20) and adults 18-49 (5.8/17). THE BIG BANG THEORY (S) was the night's #1 program in these measures.

For the night, CBS was first in viewers (14.21m), adults 25-54 (5.0/13) and adults 18-49 (3.7/11). Compared to last year's premiere Thursday, CBS was up +2% in viewers, +9% in adults 18-49 and +11% in adults 25-54. CBS won its fourth consecutive premiere Thursday in viewers and three of the last four in adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.

On CBS.com, THE CRAZY ONES had the highest premiere day traffic for a new comedy series debut to date, the highest premiere day traffic so far this season, and triple-digit growth across all metrics over the same time period last year. THE BIG BANG THEORY also hit a new milestone with its best premiere day opener on CBS.com in the show's history.

Editor's Note: Television viewing on platforms such as DVR, video-on-demand and online streaming continues to grow at a fast pace. Last season during premiere week, Live+7 CBS audiences grew 20% over Live+SD in total viewers, up from 17% in 2012. In A18-49, Live+7 levels grew 29% from Live+SD, up from 23% one year ago. Additionally, many CBS shows experienced as much as a 50% increase in total viewers once full 30-day multi-platform audiences were accounted for. In an effort to quantify how much non-linear viewing adds to Live+SD audiences, CBS Research will provide estimates for series which will include DVR playback as well as multi-platform viewership.
