"Castle" More than Doubles Total Viewer Audience (+124%) of CBS' "Hostages," While Significantly Leading in Adults 18-49 (+73%)

Monday Night 8:00-11:00 p.m. (11.7 million and 1.8/5 in AD18-49):

ABC was Monday's most-watched broadcast network for the 2nd week in a row (11.7 million), leading NBC by 2% (11.5 million), Fox by 63% (7.2 million) and CBS by 72% (6.8 million). Topping the night, ABC's "Dancing" continued to pull in a larger audience than NBC's "The Voice" (12.5 million vs. 11.9 million).

"Dancing with the Stars" (8:00-10:00 p.m. - 12.5 million and 1.7/5 in AD18-49):

ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" ranked Monday's most-watched entertainment show for the 3rd week running over NBC's "The Voice" (12.5 million vs. 11.9 million). A note about increasing DVR penetration and year-to-year rating comparisons: Year-to-year rating comparisons based on the Live + Same Day data stream are distorted by the level of DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample, which has jumped up to 48% currently, from 46% at the same point in 2012. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which may not be reflected in the overnight next day numbers. The only truly valid year-to-year comparison would be one based on the Live + 7 Day metric, once those stats are released by Nielsen.
