Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS Tops Demos Again with "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer"

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (11/26/13):

CBS (11.758 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.5, #1) pulled into the top spot on Tuesday thanks to its annual telecast of "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" (11.387 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 3.0, #1) followed by new episodes of "NCIS: Los Angeles" (12.193 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.4, #T4) and "Person of Interest" (11.695 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.1, #T6).

ABC (12.837 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.4, #2) then took home the silver with a new "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (9.304 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.5, #3) alongside the season finale of "Dancing with the Stars" (14.604 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.4, #T4).

Next up was NBC (7.848 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.3, #3) with fresh installments of "The Biggest Loser 15" (6.555 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 2.0, #8), "The Voice" (10.026 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.9, #2) and "Chicago Fire" (6.962 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 2.1, #T6).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.264 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.5, #4) served up originals from "Dads" (3.185 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.2, #12), "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (3.713 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.5, #10), "New Girl" (3.511 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.9, #9) and "The Mindy Project" (2.647 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.4, #11).

And finally, The CW (2.354 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #5) closed out the evening with new episodes of "The Originals" (2.315 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 1.1, #13) and "Supernatural" (2.393 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.0, #14). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Originals" delivered a 1.2 rating while "Supernatural" posted a 0.9 rating.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.6/5 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.5/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.3/5). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (11/27/12):

ABC (13.85 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.8, #1) took home top honors on a competitive Tuesday with its mix of "Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (8.38 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 2.4, #7), "Shrek the Halls" (8.44 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.5, #T5) and the two-hour season finale of "Dancing with the Stars" (16.58 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 3.0, #3).

CBS (14.42 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.7, #2) then was the most-watched network with its lineup of "NCIS" (19.57 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.5, #2), "NCIS: Los Angeles" (14.26 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.9, #4) and "Vegas" (9.42 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.6, #12).
