LIFETIME ORIGINAL MOVIES PROPEL BEST JANUARY DELIVERY FOR NETWORK IN SIX YEARS
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 28, 2014) - Lifetime kicked off 2014 with its strongest January delivery in six years among Total Viewers, posting impressive year-on-year growth for the month, including gains of +13% among Total Viewers versus January 2013, +10% with Women 18-49, +8% in Adults 18-49, +7% with Adults 25-54 and +7% Women 25-54, according to Nielsen Research.
Additionally, Lifetime posted major jumps in rankings for the month, moving to #5 with W25-54, #6 in Women 18-49, #10 in A25-54 and #11 in Total Viewers.
Lifetime Original Movies dominated ad-supported cable ratings in January. The January 18th world premiere of the Lifetime Original Movie Flowers in the Attic brought in 6.1 million Total Viewers, making it television's number one telecast of the night and ad-supported cable's most-watched original movie since November 2012.
Lifetime's January also was bolstered by Saturday's world premiere of the Lifetime Original Movie Lizzie Borden Took An Ax with 4.4 million Total Viewers, making it the most-watched telecast across all of television for the night among Women 18-49 and Women 25-54, in addition to being the most-watched telecast across cable for the night with Total Viewers and Adults 25-54.
Growth was also supported by strong delivery of Lifetime's hit non-fiction series Dance Moms, Project Runway All Stars and Kim of Queens. Dance Moms continues to be the #1 non-fiction cable series in its time period among Women.
