During the week of February 10, 2014, ABC aired 7 of the Top 20 non-sports broadcast programs in Adults 18-49, including 3 of the Top 10: "The Bachelor" - No. 4, "Modern Family" - No. 7, "The Middle" - No. 9, "Super Fun Night" - No. 12, while "Suburgatory," "Shark Tank" and "AFHV" tied at No. 18. ABC's "20/20" ranked as the top-rated newsmagazine for the 3rd consecutive week with Adults 18-49.
Monday
With "The Bachelor" and an encore of "Jimmy Kimmel Live's" Monuments Men show from last Thursday, ABC finished as Monday's No. 1 non-sports network in Total Viewers (6.4 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.9/5). Pacing well ahead of its competition, ABC's "The Bachelor" was Monday's No. 1 regular TV program in both Total Viewers and Adults 18-49.
"The Bachelor" (8:00-10:01 p.m. - 7.9 million and 2.3/6 in AD18-49):
Beating its non-sports competition in each half-hour from 8:00-10:01 p.m. against the Olympics, ABC's "The Bachelor" dominated Fox's original dramas ("Almost Human"/"The Following") in the 2-hour time period by 55% in Total Viewers (7.9 million vs. 5.1 million) and by 44% in Adults 18-49 (2.3/6 vs. 1.6/4).
"Jimmy Kimmel Live: Matt Damon Returns" (10:01-11:00 p.m. - 3.2 million and 0.9/3 in AD18-49):
In the 10 o'clock hour, "Jimmy Kimmel Live" was up by 19% in Total Viewers (3.2 million vs. 2.7 million) and by 13% in Adults 18-49 (0.9/3 vs. 0.8/2) compared to its most recent primetime telecast (2/28/13).
· Generating broad exposure for the ABC late-night talker in primetime, the encore of "Jimmy Kimmel Live's" Monuments Men show was up from its original late night airing (2.4 million and 0.7 on 2/6/14) in both Total Viewers (+33%) and Adults 18-49 (+29%).
Tuesday
"Killer Women" (10:00-11:00 p.m. - 3.0 million and 0.7/2 in AD18-49):
Building on its lead-in at 10:00 p.m., ABC's "Killer Women" held steady week to week in Adults 18-49 despite facing the first Tuesday of Olympics coverage.
Wednesday
Opposite NBC's 2014 Winter Olympics coverage and "American Idol" on Wednesday night, ABC (1.1/3) beat CBS by 22% (0.9/2) among Adults 18-49.
· ABC's repeats of "The Middle" at 8:00 p.m. (1.4/4) and "Modern Family" at 9:00 p.m. (1.6/4) ranked as the night's Top 2 scripted programs, respectively, on the major nets in Adults 18-49.
Friday
Up against the Olympics on Friday night, ABC (1.1/4) beat CBS by 22% (0.9/3) and Fox by 83% (0.6/2) among Adults 18-49.
· ABC aired the Top 3 non-sports programs on the major nets in Adults 18-49 with a repeat "Shark Tank" (1.2/4), "20/20" (1.1/4) and a special encore "Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown/A Charlie Brown Valentine" (1.0/4).
· At 8:00 p.m., "Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown/A Charlie Brown Valentine" was up from its year-ago telecast (2/9/13) by 34% in Total Viewers (3.9 million vs. 2.9 million) and by 43% in Adults 18-49 (1.0/4 vs. 0.7/2). In fact, the annual PEANUTS special drew its largest overall audience in 4 years - since 2/10/10.
Sunday
"UP" (8:00-10:00 p.m. - 3.3 million and 1.0/2 in AD18-49):
For the 2nd week in a row, ABC claimed the No. 1 non-sports broadcast on Sunday night in Kids 2-11 (1.1/4) with the Net's premiere of "UP." Opposite the Olympics, the movie grew over the prior week's "Toy Story 3" in the 2-hour time slot by 6% in Total Viewers, while holding steady in Adults 18-49.
