JIMMY FALLON AND SETH MEYERS DELIVER STRONG RESULTS FOR THE LATE-NIGHT WEEK OF MARCH 3-7

"The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" Tops the Combined Results of "Late Show with David Letterman" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in 18-49

"Late Night with Seth Meyers" Nearly Matches Kimmel While Outscoring Letterman in the Demo, Despite Starting an Hour Later

NEW YORK - March 13, 2014 - "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" and "Late Night with Seth Meyers" have continued to deliver elevated ratings in Fallon's third week on the air and Meyers' second week.

"The Tonight Show" topped the combined ABC-CBS competition in adults 18-49, while Meyers virtually tied ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and outdelivered CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman" - despite starting an hour later.

Fallon averaged a 1.34 rating, 6 share for the week of March 3-7, to top the combined rating of "Late Show" (0.56) and "Kimmel" (0.73). In total viewers, "Tonight's" 4.537 million prevailed over "Late Show's" 2.761 million by a 64% margin and topped "Kimmel's" 2.744 million by 65%.

At 12:35 a.m. ET, Meyers' 0.71/4 in adults 18-49 nearly matched Kimmel's 0.73 and beat Letterman's 0.56, despite "Late Night's" later start time. In the time period, Meyers outrated CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (0.35) by 103% and topped "Late Late Show" in total viewers by 50% (2.073 million vs. 1.386 million).

In their head-to-head half-hour from 12:30-1 a.m. ET, Meyers also outscored ABC's "Nightline" in 18-49 by 84% (with a 0.81 rating in that half-hour vs. a 0.44) and by 37% in total viewers (2.358 million vs. 1.721 million).

Versus NBC's averages this season before the transition, Fallon was up last week by 13% in total viewers (4.537 million vs. 4.011 million, L+SD) and by 43% in adults 18-49 (1.34 vs. 0.94). And note that prior to the transition, "Tonight" was enjoying its top season in 18-49 viewers in three years and best season in total viewers in five years. "Late Night" was at a five-year high in 18-49 and was having the best season of the Fallon-hosted era in total viewers.
