"60 MINUTES" MAKES THE TOP FIVE AND WINS TIMESLOT
60 MINUTES made the top five, drawing 11.26 million viewers to finish at #5 on the Nielsen list and sweep its timeslot Sunday (March 16) in viewers and key demographics. It was the sixth time this season 60 MINUTES placed #5 or higher for the week.
The CBS newsmagazine was also tied at #5 in households, scoring a 7.2/12, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for March 16, 2014.
Sunday's broadcast featured Bob Simon's profile of political satirist Bassem Youssef, known as "the Egyptian Jon Stewart"; Morley Safer's report on commercial drones; and Dr. Sanjay Gupta's feature on McIlhenny's Tabasco sauce, an American family-run business that has lasted 146 years.
CBS News Chairman Jeff Fager is the executive producer of 60 MINUTES, America's most-watched news program.
