Tuesday Results:
NBC won a record-setting 18th Tuesday in 18-49 this season among the Big 4 nets, marking its most in-season Tuesday wins among those networks in People Meter history, as all four NBC shows are currently matching or topping last week's ratings.
· "The Voice 6" (3.5/11 in 18-49, 13,0 million viewers overall from 8-9:01 p.m. ET) ranked #1 for the night in 18-49 and finished #1 in its time period among the Big 4 networks in every key demographic. Versus last week's preliminary fast-national 3.4, "The Voice" is up 3% in 18-49 and versus last week's 3.5 in official nationals, "The Voice" is even. Last night's "Voice" grew from its first half-hour to its second by 0.6 or a rating point or 19% in 18-49 (to a 3.8 from a 3.2) and by more than 1.5 million viewers overall (to 13.8 million from 12.2 million).
· "The Voice" is #1 in the hour among the Big 4 nets by a 46% margin (3.5 vs. 2.4 or CBS's #2 "NCIS").
· "About a Boy" (2.2/6 in 18-49, 8.0 million viewers overall from 9:01-9:31 p.m. ET) is currently up 10% week to week in adults 18-49 (to a 2.2 rating from a 2.0) and up 6% in total viewers (7.952 million vs. 7.485 million), pending updates. In the time period, "About a Boy" is currently running within a tenth of a rating point of #1 in adults 18-49 among the Big 4 nets (2.2 vs. 2.3 for CBS's "NCIS: LA") and is #1 among those nets in adults, men and women 18-34, topping "NCIS: LA" in those demos as well as the rival comedies "The Goldbergs" on ABC and "The New Girl" on Fox.
· In its four weeks on the schedule, "About a Boy" has now generated NBC's four highest 18-49 ratings in the time period, excluding Olympics, since the Dec. 17 "Voice" finale.
· "Growing Up Fisher" (1.8/5 in 18-49, 6.8 million viewers overall from 9:31-10 p.m. ET) is currently up 6% versus last week in adults 18-49 (to a 1.8 rating from a 1.7) and up in total viewers by 7% (6.784 million vs. 6.328 million), pending updates. Last night's "Growing Up Fisher" retained 82% of its lead-in from "About a Boy" in adults 18-49 and 88% in women 18-49 (2.2 vs. 2.5). In the time period, "Growing Up Fisher" ranked #2 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and tied for #1 among those nets in adults, men and women 18-34.
· "Chicago Fire" (1.9/6 in 18-49, 7.1 million viewers overall) won the 10 p.m. hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and other key measures, and is currently matching its week-ago rating in 18-49. "Chicago Fire" won the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC by a 19% margin (1.9 vs. 1.6 for CBS's second-place "Person of Interest") and matched the combined ABC-CBS drama competition in adults 18-34 (with a 1.3 vs. a 0.8 for "Person of Interest" and a 0.5 for ABC's "Mind Games").
· This is the fifth consecutive "Chicago Fire" telecast to match or top its prior telecast in adults 18-49.
· L+3 Time-Shifting: Last week, "About a Boy" and "Growing Up Fisher" grew by more than 1 million viewers in "live plus three day" results versus these next-day "live plus same day" figures (to 8.6 million from 7.5 million for "Boy" and 7.3 million vs. 6.3 million for "Fisher"), while "Chicago Fire" grew by more than 2 million viewers (9.6 million vs. 7.2 million).
· NBC won its 18th Tuesday of the season among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, setting a new NBC record for most in-season Tuesday wins in the 26-year history of Nielsen's current People Meter sample (dating back to September 1987).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 3.1/8; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.0/5 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.0/5.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "Tonight," 1.2/6; "Late Show," 0.4/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.4/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.0/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
