Live + 7 Day Ratings: ABC Claims 4 of the Week's Top 5 Broadcast Drama Gainers / Modern Family Moves Ahead of Both Editions of The Voice
Live + 7 Day Ratings for the week of 3/3/14 (Week #24):
ABC claimed 5 of the week's 10 biggest broadcast gainers in TV playback among Adults 18-49, including 4 of the Top 5 dramas: Modern Family (+2.1 rating points) - #2, Grey's Anatomy (+1.8 rating points) - #4, Scandal (+1.6 rating points) - #5, Resurrection (+1.5 rating points) - #6 and Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (+1.4 rating points) - #7.
The Bachelor (+30%), Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (+78%) and Trophy Wife (+63%) each turned in their biggest-ever percentage gains in TV playback among Adults 18-49.
The debut of ABC's Resurrection saw its Total Viewer count surge by +4.1 million, building from 13.9 million viewers in Live + Same Day to 18.0 million in Live + 7 Day. The ABC drama debut also saw its Adult 18-49 number jump from a 3.8 rating in L+SD to a 5.3 rating in L+7 (+1.5 rating points).
In the final Live + 7 Day ratings, Modern Family (5.6 rating) climbed up to rank as the #2 broadcast program of the week (from #5) among Adults 18-49, leapfrogging over both the Monday (5.4) and Tuesday (4.9) editions of NBC's The Voice.
Also in the final Live + 7 numbers, ABC's Shark Tank matched a series high in Adults 18-49 with a 2.9 rating.

Based on TV playback data for the 2013-14 season, ABC continues to claim the most Top 10 playback gainers of any broadcast network in Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers. With each show adding on at least +1.5 rating points in Adults 18-49 to their L+SD numbers, ABC has 5 of the season's 10 biggest gainers in TV playback: Modern Family (+2.0 rating points) - #2, Grey's Anatomy (+1.8 rating points) - #4, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (+1.7 rating points) - #5 and Resurrection (+1.5 rating points) and Scandal (+1.5 rating points) tie at #7. ABC also has 5 of the 10 biggest overall gainers on the broadcast networks: Modern Family (+4.4 million), Castle (+4.4 million), Resurrection (+4.1 million), Grey's (+4.0 million) and Scandal (+3.9 million).
Nearly all of ABC's key returning series are seeing bigger percentage gains among Adults 18-49 from L+SD to L+7 this year than last: The Bachelor (+25% vs. +23%), Castle (+60% vs. +50%), Dancing with the Stars (+20% vs. +18%), Grey's Anatomy (+64% vs. +53%), Last Man Standing (+46% vs. +33%), Modern Family (+56% vs. +49%), Nashville (+80% vs. +63%), The Neighbors (+30% vs. +22%), Once Upon a Time (+55% vs. +45%), Revenge (+53% vs. +52%), Scandal (+48% vs. +38%) and Shark Tank (+30% vs. +21%).
· Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is Tuesday's #1 scripted show this season with Adults 18-49 based on original telecasts, beating CBS' NCIS by 5% (4.3 rating vs. 4.1 rating). Based on first-run telecasts in the L+7 Adult 18-49 ratings, ABC claims the season's #1 scripted show on Tuesday (S.H.I.E.L.D. - 4.3 rating), the #1 show on Wednesday (Modern Family - 5.6), the #1 dramas on Thursday (Grey's and Scandal tie - 4.6) and the #1 show on Friday (Shark Tank - 2.6).
· Modern Family is the season's #2 scripted series among Adults 18-49 on the broadcast networks (5.6 rating).
