FOX Ranks No. 2 for the Week Among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens
FOX spins the numbers for the week of April 7-13.

NATIONAL NIELSEN RATINGS FOR THE WEEK OF APRIL 7 - APRIL 13, 2014

Saturday's NASCAR Darlington 500, along with AMERICAN IDOL XIII and the premiere of KITCHEN NIGHTMARES led FOX to rank No. 2 for the week among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34 and Teens.

Overall, FOX had:

· 2 of the Top 20 programs among Adults 18-49: FAMILY GUY (No. 14) and AMERICAN IDOL Wed (No. 17).

· 4 of the Top 20 programs among Adults 18-34: FAMILY GUY (No. 5), THE SIMPSONS (No. 8), COSMOS (No. 18 tie) and AMERICAN DAD-7:30P (No. 18 tie).

· 6 of the Top 20 programs among Teens: FAMILY GUY (No. 4), AMERICAN IDOL Thurs (No. 7), AMERICAN IDOL Wed (No. 9), SURVIVING JACK (No. 16), GLEE (No. 19 tie) and THE SIMPSONS (No. 19 tie).

· 1 of the Top 20 programs among Total Viewers: AMERICAN IDOL Wed (No. 20).

Program and Nightly Highlights

Monday: Matching last Monday, FOX ranked No. 4 in prime among Adults 18-49 (1.5/4). BONES (1.6/5) gained one-tenth week to week, posting its highest rating since its return to Mondays (vs. 1.7/5, 3/10/14). THE FOLLOWING delivered a 1.4/4.

Tuesday: FOX ranked No. 5 in prime among Adults 18-49 (1.0/3). GLEE (1.0/3) and THE MINDY PROJECT's 9:30PM telecast (1.1/3) were each up one-tenth week to week. THE MINDY PROJECT'S 9PM special scored a 1.0/3.

Wednesday: FOX (2.0/6) was the No. 2 broadcast prime network for the night. With the Top 8 performing again due to the "Judges Save" last week, AMERICAN IDOL-WED averaged a 2.0/6 from 8-10PM.

Thursday: FOX (1.4/5) ranked as the No. 3 broadcast prime net among Adults 18-49. HELL'S KITCHEN posted a 1.4/5 at 8PM. AMERICAN IDOL-THU (1.8/6) gained one-tenth from last week's telecast (vs. 1.7/5). Week three of SURVIVING JACK (1.2/4) remained flat from last Thursday.

Friday: FOX ranked No. 3 in prime (1.2/4), up +33% versus its prior season average (vs. 0.9/3) on Friday night with the two-hour season opener of KITCHEN NIGHTMARES. From 8-9p, KITCHEN NIGHTMARES (1.2/5) was No. 1 in its time period. From 9-10PM, the season premiere of KITCHEN NIGHTMARES (1.1/4) was up two-tenths versus its season 6 premiere last fall (vs. 0.9/3, 10/26/12, 8-9PM).

Saturday: FOX won the night (1.6/6) with its first NASCAR primetime race this season. NASCAR Darlington 500 (1.6/6) was flat with last year's Saturday night Primetime Sprint Cup (1.6/6, 4/13/13, 7:49-11:20PM).

Sunday: FOX (1.4/4) was the No. 3 Sunday night broadcast prime net among Adults 18-49. From 7-8:30PM, BOB'S BURGERS scored a 0.8/3, AMERICAN DAD posted a 1.1/4 while THE SIMPSONS notched a 1.7/5. FAMILY GUY was tied with ABC's Resurrection as the top program on Sunday night with a 2.1/6 while COSMOS delivered a 1.3/3 at 9PM.
