48 HOURS: LIVE TO TELL: "One Last Hug" was Saturday's #1 non-sports broadcast with adults 25-54 - the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news - and viewers, according to preliminary Nielsen live plus same day ratings for May 31, 2014.
"One Last Hug" delivered 4.99m viewers and a 1.2/04 with adults 25-54.
Saturday's broadcast was anchored by Troy Roberts and featured the first-person account of Melissa Dohme, a young woman who survived being stabbed 32 times by a former boyfriend who said he wanted to meet her for one final hug before they split up forever.
Dohme recounted the night of the attack and shared her will to live in "One Last Hug." The broadcast also further exposed the growing dangers of breakup violence.
