Friday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS Tops Viewers; NBC, ABC Split Demos

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (7/18/14):

CBS (4.957 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.6, #3) was the most-watched network on Friday thanks to repeats of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (3.895 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T6), "Hawaii Five-0" (4.896 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T6) and "Blue Bloods" (6.082 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #5).

NBC (4.898 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T1) and ABC (4.518 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T1) however split the demo crown as the former served up new episodes of "Dateline NBC" (6.013 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2) and "Crossbones" (2.669 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T6).

Next up was the Alphabet and its mix of "Shark Tank" (4.175 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T3), "Primetime: What Would You Do?" (3.562 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T3) and "20/20" (5.818 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #1).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.201 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) served up encores of "MasterChef" (1.442 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #9) and "24: Live Another Day" (0.961 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T10).

And finally, repeats of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.093 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T10), another "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.148 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T10), "Seed" (0.651 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #13) and "Backpackers" (0.424 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.1, #14) on The CW (0.829 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) closed out the night. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), said quartet averaged a 0.2, 0.2, 0.1 and 0.0, respectively.

ABC (4.108 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #1) inched out a demo victory on Friday with its mix of "Shark Tank" (4.275 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #5), "Primetime: What Would You Do?" (3.937 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T1) and "20/20" (4.113 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T3).

CBS (4.470 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #2) then took home the silver with its repeat combination of "Undercover Boss" (4.439 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T3), "Hawaii Five-0" (4.039 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7) and "Blue Bloods" (4.931 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T9).

Next up was NBC (4.074 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #3) with a rebroadcast of "Camp" (2.004 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T12) followed by a two-hour "Dateline NBC" (5.110 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T1).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.208 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) offered up second runs of "Bones" (3.088 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.7, #6) and "The Following" (1.328 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T12).

And finally, The CW (1.387 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #5) closed out the evening with encores of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.690 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7), another "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.593 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T9), "Perfect Score" (1.219 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T12) and another "Perfect Score" (1.045 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T12). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), "Line" delivered a 0.7 and a 0.6 rating at 8:00/7:00c and "Score" a 0.4 and 0.4 rating at 9:00/8:00c.

·In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.9/4; "Late Show," 0.4/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3 with an encore.

·From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

·From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.5/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.1/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

·At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
