Friday Primetime Results:
· "Dateline NBC" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 5.4 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) is tied for the #2 show of the night on the Big 4 networks and tied for the #1 non-sports show on those nets in adults 18-49 (with ABC's "Shark Tank," 1.1/4 from 9-10 p.m.). In adults 25-54 and total viewers, "Dateline" is #2 outright for the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox and #1 outright among non-sports programs on those networks. "Dateline" matched the show's top Friday rating in 18-49 since Aug. 1.
· In the time period, "Dateline NBC" is #2 among the Big 4 nets in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers and #1 among non-sports programs on those nets.
· From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline" grew by +33% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.2 from a 0.9), +23% in adults 25-54 (1.6 vs. 1.3) and +24% or 1.1 million persons in total viewers or (5.7 million vs. 4.6 million).
· An encore telecast of "Running Wild with Bear Grylls" averaged a 0.5/2 in 18-49 and 2.6 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET. "Running Wild" held steady or grew from half-hour to half-hour in every key demo.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday Night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.7/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.0/5 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.8/4 with an encore.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/4; "Late Show," 0.6/3 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2 with an encore.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.0/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2 with an encore).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
