NCIS: NEW ORLEANS premiered with 17.09 million viewers, retaining +95% of its NCIS lead-in and making it the most-watched new series debut to date this season, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Tuesday, Sept. 23. (Live +7-Day projections follow below.)
The 12th season premiere of NCIS was first in viewers (17.99m) and second in both adults 25-54 (4.2/12) and adults 18-49 (2.9/10). NCIS was the night's most-watched program.
At 9:00 PM, the series premiere of NCIS: NEW ORLEANS was first in viewers (17.09m) and second in both adults 25-54 (3.8/09) and adults 18-49 (2.5/09). NCIS: NEW ORLEANS retained 95% of its lead-in among viewers, 90% of its lead-in among adults 25-54 and 86% of its lead-in among adults 18-49.
At 10:00 PM, the fourth season premiere of PERSON OF INTEREST was first in viewers (10.67m) and second in adults 25-54 (2.8/07) and adults 18-49 (1.8/05).
For the night, CBS was first in viewers (15.25m) for the seventh consecutive premiere Tuesday and second in adults 25-54 (3.6/10) and adults 18-49 (2.4/07).
