In Late-Night Metered-Market Household Averages for Saturday night:
· "Saturday Night Live," with host Chris Pratt and musical guest Ariana Grande (4.0/10 in metered-market households, 2.1/10 in adults 18-49 in the Local People Meters) equaled the show's household result and 18-49 rating from the "SNL" season finale on May 17 (with host Andy Samberg and musical guest St. Vincent, 4.0/10 in metered-market households, 2.1/10 in 18-49 in the LPMs).
· The 40th season premiere of "Saturday Night Live" equaled the show's highest metered-market household rating since March 8 (4.1/11 with host Lena Dunham and musical guest The National). Last night's "SNL" also matched the show's top 18-49 rating in the 25 markets with Local People Meters since April 5 (2.2/10 with host Anna Kendrick and musical guest Pharrell). The year-ago "SNL" season premiere averaged a 4.7/12 in 18-49 and a 2.7/13 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters with host Tina Fey and musical guest Arcade Fire on Sept. 28, 2013.
· "Saturday Night Live" ranked as the #1 telecast of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 rating in the Local People Meters, outscoring all primetime programs on those networks.
· National ratings, including viewer totals, for last night's "Saturday Night Live" are due from Nielsen on Thursday, October 2.
Saturday Primetime Results:
· At 10 p.m. ET, "SNL Vintage" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 3.2 million viewers overall), featuring a rebroadcast of a Dec. 13, 1975 telecast of "Saturday night Live" with host Richard Pryor and musical guest Gil Scott-Heron, grew by +13% in 18-49 rating and +17% in total viewers versus last season's averages for Saturday 10 p.m. "SNL" encores (0.8 in 18-49, 2.747 million viewers overall, L+SD). From its first half-hour to its second, "SNL Vintage" maintained or increased its rating in every key ratings measure, despite the 10 p.m. hour.
· "SNL Vintage" is currently running within a tenth of a rating point of the time-period lead among the Big 4 networks in the hour in adults 18-49 and is tied for #1 among those nets in adults 25-54 (with a 1.2 rating), pending updates.
· An encore telecast of "The Voice" (0.6/2 in 18-49, 2.8 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) is currently tied for #2 in the time period among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and tied for #1 among those networks in women 25-54 (with a 0.9 rating), pending updates. The "Voice" encore maintained or increased its rating from half-hour to half-hour in every key measure.
· The NBC News Special "Music for Change: The Global Citizen Festival" was aired as sustaining programming and will not be included in NBC's nightlong or weeklong averages.
"Live Plus Three Day" Results for Tuesday, Sept. 23:
In "live plus three day" Nielsens, "Chicago Fire" (3.53 rating in adults 18-49, 12.104 million viewers overall):
· Sets a new series record of 12.1 million viewers in L+3.
· Is up +4% versus last year's premiere (11.639 million).
· Delivers its highest 18-49 rating in L+3 (3.53) since Oct. 1, 2013.
· Grew +0.92 of a point or +35% versus its L+SD 2.61 rating in 18-49
