"THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL" ON CBS AND NFL NETWORK EARNS OVERNIGHT RATINGS INCREASE OF 96% OVER LAST YEAR
CBS Wins Second Thursday of New Television Season with "THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL"
CBS and NFL Network's broadcast of THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL on October 2, which featured Green Bay's 42-10 victory over Minnesota earned an average overnight household rating/share in the 56 metered markets of 10.4/17, +96% from last year's comparable game on NFL Network and over-the-air-stations within the two team markets (5.3/9; Buffalo-Cleveland; October 3, 2013).
Through four games of the CBS/NFL Network schedule, THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL is averaging an overnight HH rating/share of 10.9/18, +56% compared to last year's 7.0/12 for the games on NFL Network. Green Bay's 42-10 victory over Minnesota is the second-highest margin of victory ever for games on THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL.
Last night's programming on CBS and NFL Network from 8:00-11:00 PM, ET averaged a primetime overnight HH rating/share of 9.9/17, +30% higher than last year's overnight HH rating/share of 7.6/13 for CBS primetime programming on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013 (BIG BANG THEORY - 8:00 PM, THE MILLERS - 8:31 PM, THE CRAZY ONES - 9:01 PM, TWO AND A HALF MEN - 9:31 PM, ELEMENTARY- 10:01 PM).
CBS/NFL Network's rating/share of 9.9/17 in primetime beat each of the broadcast networks: +29% higher than ABC (7.7/12), +175% higher than FOX (3.6/6) and +200% higher than NBC (3.3/5).
Last night's game HH rating/share peaked at 12.1/19 from 9:00-9:30 PM, ET.
THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL continues next week on October 9 with Indianapolis at Houston.
