Turner Broadcasting's TBS and Adult Swim Topped Basic Cable's Demo Charts for the Week

Turner Broadcasting's TBS and Adult Swim topped basic cable's demo charts for the week. TBS ranked as the #1 entertainment network in primetime with adults 18-49 and adults 18-34. And Adult Swim was basic cable's #1 entertainment network among adults 18-49 in total day and basic cable's #1 network overall among adults 18-34 in total day.

TBS

TBS scored a double ratings victory for the week by ranking as basic cable's #1 entertainment network in primetime delivery of adults 18-49 and adults 18-34. TBS also continues on track to finish the year as basic cable's #1 network in primetime among adults 18-49 for the year-to-date.

Last Monday's episode of TBS's American Dad! has climbed to 1.4 million viewers in Live + 3 delivery, with 918,000 adults in 18-49 and 562,000 adults 18-34. For the season-to-date, American Dad! is averaging a reach of 3.2 million viewers per episode for its premieres on TBS, encores on Adult Swim and multi-platform plays.

Friday night's new episode and encore telecast of Deal With It drew a preliminary Live + Same Day audience of 1.6 million viewers, an increase of +20% over the prior week. The show scored even bigger increases in key demos, including +68% among adults 18-34 and +19% among adults 18-49. Across all plays and platforms, Deal With It is averaging a reach of 2.6 million viewers per episode for the fall.

TBS's telecasts of The Big Bang Theory continue to dominate the sitcom charts, claiming all 20 of basic cable's Top 20 sitcom telecasts for last week among total viewers and adults 18-49.

Adult Swim

Across the third week of November 2014, Adult Swim ranked #1 for Total Day Delivery among adults 18-24 & 18-34 and men 18-24 on basic cable.

Saturday evening TOONAMI block programming Dragon Ball Z Kai (12 a.m.), Naruto: Shippuden (12:30 a.m.), One Piece (1 a.m.), Gurren Lagann (1:30 a.m.) and Inuyasha: The Final Act (2 a.m.) was #1 in their respective time periods among adults 18-24 and men 18-24.

Adult Swim programming - including Family Guy, American Dad and Infomercials - accounted for 18 of the top 50 telecasts on basic cable for the week among adults 18-34, and 13 of the top 50 among men 18-34, both more than any other network.

TNT

The international hit Transporter The Series scored another strong week on TNT, with Saturday night's back-to-back episodes averaging an initial audience of more than 1.4 million viewers in Live + Same Day delivery across the primetime telecasts and late-night encores. With multiplatform viewing included, Transporter The Series is averaging a reach of 3.4 million viewers for the season-to-date.

Friday night's episode of On the Menu has so far brought in 835,000 viewers in Live + Same Day delivery for the premiere and encore. Season-to-date, On the Menu is averaging a reach of 2.6 million viewers per episode across all replays and platforms.

Cartoon Network

Across the third week of November 2014, Cartoon Network ranked as basic cable's #1 network for Early Prime (6p-8p) and Total Day delivery among boys 9-14. Compared to the same time period last year, average Total Day delivery grew among kids 2-11 by 3%, kids 6-11 by 9%, and kids 9-14 by 2%.

Led by its Early Prime line-up of original animated programming, Cartoon Network scored as the #1 television network among all boys on Thursday Night (6-8 p.m.), with overall average delivery growing across all key demos, ranging between 31% and 47%. Among individual series, Teen Titans Go! (6 p.m.) ranked as the #1 telecast of the day among all targeted boys and ranked #1 in its time period among all kids/boys 2-1, 6-11 & 9-14. All Thursday Night new episode premieres ranked #1 in their respective time periods among key boy demos and grew average delivery across all targeted demos, ranging from 9% to 59%.

Cartoon Network was the #1 TV network on all television among all boys 2-11, 6-11 & 9-14 on Monday and Wednesday nights, and the #1 network among boys 6-11 & 9-14 on Friday night. Wednesday and Friday night grew average delivery of key demos vs. the same time period last year.

Saturday morning programming (7-11 a.m.) earned year-over-year delivery gains among kids 6-11 by 5% and kids 9-14 by 1%. Sonic Boom (7 a.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among boys 6-11 & 9-14, and Pokémon the Series XY (8 a.m.) ranked #1 in its time period among all boy demos. Both series' performances grew delivery of all targeted demos vs. the same time period last year, ranging between 35% and 142%.

NBA TV

NBA TV's primetime viewership was up 108% last week when compared with the same time period last year. The network also delivered a +105% increase among adults 18-49 and +106% among men 18-49. Additionally, since the start of the 2014-15 regular season, the network's 13 premiere episodes of The Starters are up 52% in total viewers over last year. Last week's five original airings of the show were up 89% among total viewers over the corresponding week in 2013.
