"Parenthood" Ties for #1 in Women 18-49 and Ranks #1 Outright Among Adults 18-34
NBC spins the numbers for Thursday, January 15.

Thursday Primetime Results:

· "Parenthood" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 4.1 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) finished within a tenth of a rating point of the slot lead among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, tied for #1 in women 18-49 (with a 1.6 rating) and ranked #1 outright among those networks in adults 18-34 (0.8) and women 18-34 (1.0). "Parenthood" grew from half-hour to half-hour by +9% in adults 18-49 (1.1 to 1.2), +7% in adults 25-54 (1.4 to 1.5) and +5% in total viewers (4.0 million to 4.2 million), despite the 10 p.m. hour.

· "Parenthood" equaled its year-ago rating in 18-49 (1.2 on Jan. 16, 2014) and was up +2% in total viewers (4.077 million vs. 3.981 million).

· Parenthood" will add substantial audience via time-shifting, increasing so far this season by an average of +82% in L+7 vs. these L+SD ratings in 18-49 (from a 1.24 to a 2.26) and more than 2.4 million viewers overall (4.1 million to 6.5 million).

· Upscale: "Parenthood" is the #1 most upscale primetime series on the Big 4 networks, indexing at a 166 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes ("most current" L+3 results, 100 represents an average concentration of those homes).

· "The Biggest Loser" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) outrated ABC's "The Taste" in the time period from 8-9 p.m. in every key measure.

· "Bad Judge" delivered a 0.7/2 in 18-49 and 2.8 million viewers overall from 9-9:30 p.m. ET.

· "A-to-Z" (0.5/2 in 18-49, 1.7 million viewers overall from 9:30-10 p.m. ET) retained its full lead-in in men 18-34 (0.2 vs. 0.2) and women 18-34 (0.5 vs. 0.5).

· This season, "The Biggest Loser" is increasing by an average +36% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.26 to a 1.71) and 1.0 million viewers overall (4.6 million to 5.6 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

· "Bad Judge" originals are growing by an average +41% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.05 to a 1.48) and 1.2 million viewers overall (4.3 million to 5.5 million).

· "A-to-Z" originals are increasing by an average +35% in 18-49 rating (from a 0.86 to a 1.16) and 678,000 viewers overall (3.1 million to 3.7 million).

· "Parenthood" originals are growing by an average +82% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.24 to a 2.26) and more than 2.4 million viewers overall (4.1 million to 6.5 million).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Thursday Night:

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.6/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.1/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.1/5; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "The Talk After Dark" (1.0/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "The Talk After Dark" (0.2/1).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 with an encore in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
