Monday's Broadcast Ratings: ABC Rides "Bachelor," "Castle" to Demo Victory

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (2/9/15):

ABC (8.218 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.3, #1) was the demo champ on Monday thanks to new episodes of "The Bachelor" (8.627 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.7, #1) and "Castle" (7.400 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T6).

CBS (10.273 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.0, #2) then claimed the silver with its mix of "2 Broke Girls" (9.021 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.3, #2), "Mike & Molly" (9.172 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.1, #4), "Scorpion" (11.592 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.2, #3) and "NCIS: Los Angeles" (10.130 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T6).

Next up was FOX (4.760 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.5, #3) with originals from "Gotham" (5.635 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.8, #5) and "Sleepy Hollow" (3.884 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T9).

Meanwhile, NBC (4.480 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #4) served up its special "The Celebrity Apprentice: Top Feuds, Firings and Fails" (4.565 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T9) followed by new episodes of "The Celebrity Apprentice" (4.866 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.4, #8) and "State of Affairs" (4.008 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.0, #11).

And finally, fresh installments of "The Originals" (1.211 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.5, #13) and "Jane the Virgin" (1.356 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #12) on The CW (1.284 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #5) closed out the evening. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), the former delivered a 0.7 rating while the latter posted a 1.0 rating.

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.7/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.1/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.4/6.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.2/6; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.7/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.5/5 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (2/10/14):

NBC (22.158 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 6.4, #1) kept its win streak alive thanks to its primetime coverage of "2014 Olympic Winter Games" (22.158 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 6.4, #1).

A distant silver then went to ABC (6.294 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.9, #2) with a new "The Bachelor" (7.781 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.3, #2) alongside a rebroadcast of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" (3.320 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.0, #10).

Next up was FOX (5.047 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.6, #3) with originals from "Almost Human" (5.371 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.5, #4) and "The Following" (4.723 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.7, #3).

Meanwhile, CBS (5.987 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #4) offered up repeats of "2 Broke Girls" (5.431 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T7), "Mom" (5.114 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.2, #9), "Mike & Molly" (5.942 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T5), another "Mom" (5.613 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T5) and "Intelligence" (6.912 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T7).

And finally, the Friday-bound "Hart of Dixie" (1.027 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T11) and a new "Beauty and the Beast" (0.772 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T11) on The CW (0.900 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the evening.
