Network Smashes Audience Records Across Key Demos For Total Day and Prime

(Silver Spring, Md.) - Science is everywhere and passionate viewers are tuning into Science Channel in record numbers. The network that dares to question everything delivered its best quarter ever, in primetime and total day, with significant increases among key demos. Prime saw gains among Persons 25-54 (+18%) Men 25-54 (+22%) Persons 18-49 (+22%) Males 18-49 (+26%) and Persons 2+ (383K+18%) during 1Q15. On a total day basis, Science Channel gained among Persons 25-54 (+21%), Men 25-54 (+25%), Persons 18-49 (22%), Men 18-49 (+27%) and Persons 2+ (22%).

In total day and prime, with Persons 2+, the three most watched months ever occurred in 1Q15. This quarter also boasts 11 of the top 50 most watched weeks during the same time periods. In prime, Science Channel moves up 12 spots (#26) among Men 25-54 and up nine spots among Men 18-49 (#30) in delivery for all ad-supported cable nets in prime. For total day, the network advanced 10 spots (#26) among Men 25-54 and up nine spots for Men 18-49 (#28).

March 2015 was an outstanding month for Science Channel as it tied with February 2015 among Persons 2+ in prime in network history. Debut series ruled March including:

· WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG? averaged double-digit gains on Persons 25-54 (+67%) compared to the 2014 channel prime average

· WHAT ON EARTH? averaged double-digit gains on total viewers (+85%) and Persons 25-54 (+66%) across all six episodes compared to the channel's 2014 prime average.

· ALL-AMERICAN MAKERS was up double-digits among Persons 25-54 (+55%) from the 2014 prime average

· OUTRAGEOUS ACTS OF SCIENCE continues to be a staple of the Science Channel lineup with the third season averaging gains among Persons 25-54 and Males 25-54 against season two. (+3%/+4% respectively).
