"Jimmy Kimmel Live Game Night" Scores its Best Numbers in its 8-Year History

On Average, the NBA Finals Jumps by Double Digits Year to Year to its Most-Watched-Ever Performance on ABC and a 17-Year High Overall

For the 6th time in as many nights with 2015 NBA Finals coverage, ABC beat the other nets combined in Adults 18-49 during prime (+20% - 6.0/20 vs. 5.0/16 - CBS, NBC, Fox and CW). ABC was also the most-watched network, nearly doubling runner-up NBC's "America's Got Talent"-led lineup (+93% - 16.0 million vs. 8.3 million).

· The Net delivered its most-watched Tuesday in 4 years and its top-rated among Adults 18-49 in 10-1/2 years - since 5/24/11 and 01/04/05, respectively

"Jimmy Kimmel Live Game Night 6" (Various Time Periods)

Airing around the NBA Finals in various time periods throughout the country, "Jimmy Kimmel Live Game Night" specials increased the exposure for the ABC late-night talker in primetime. "Jimmy Kimmel Live Game Night 6" marked the annual special's top numbers on any night since it debuted in 2008 with Total Viewers (4.7 million) and Adults 18-49 (1.4/5-tie). In fact the Top 2 telecasts for "Kimmel Game Night" came during 2015, with last Thursday's broadcast ranking No. 2 (6/11/15).

· On average, "Kimmel Game Night" was up over last year in both Total Viewers (+8% - 3.9 million vs. 3.6 million) and Adults 18-49 (+9% - 1.2/5 vs. 1.1/4), delivering the special's best results in its 8-year history.

· During its 6-night 2015 run on average, "Kimmel Game Night" shot up by 1.0 million viewers (3.9 million vs. 2.9 million) and by 100% in Adults 18-49 (1.2/5 vs. 0.6/3) from the show's 2014-15 season averages in late-night. In fact, ABC's "Kimmel" just finished its most-watched season ever with its 5th consecutive year of growth in late-night.

"NBA Finals on ABC Game 6" (9:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. E.T.)

ABC's 2015 NBA Finals closed out with its highest numbers and towered over primetime as the No. 1 TV program for its 6th straight broadcast in Total Viewers (23.3 million) and all key Adult demos: A18-34 (8.8/35), A18-49 (8.9/29) and A25-54 (9.4/27). The Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers by a score of 105-97 to win the best-of-seven series 4-2. With more than 5 million tweets (5,053,627 tweets), the NBA Finals was Tuesday's most-social TV telecast with the 2015 series' top number.

· The 2015 NBA Finals Game 6 was up from the most-recent sixth game in 2013 (Miami-San Antonio on 6/18/13) among both Total Viewers (+13% - 23.3 million vs. 20.6 million) and Adults 18-49 (+5% - 8.9/29 vs. 8.5/25).

· On average, the 2015 NBA Finals finished up strong double digits year over year in Total Viewers (+29% - 19.9 million vs. 15.6 million) and Adults 18-49 (+25% - 7.6/26 vs. 6.1/20), qualifying as the series' most-watched-ever performance on ABC (since beginning carriage in 2003) and biggest audience overall since 1998 (Utah-Chicago).

Most-Watched & Highest-Rated NBA Finals Ever on ABC

Game 6 Averages 23,254,000 Viewers; Broadcast Peaks with Audience of 28,744,000

The 2015 NBA Finals, in which the Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 4-2, is the most-watched and highest-rated ever on ABC, according to Nielsen. The six-game series averaged nearly 20 million viewers (19,939,000 P2+) and an 11.6 U.S. household rating, up 30 percent and 26 percent, respectively, from the 2014 NBA Finals (Miami-San Antonio).

Last night's Game 6 delivered an average audience of 23,254,000 viewers, peaking with 28,744,000 viewers from 11:45 p.m.-midnight ET, and a 13.4 U.S. household rating. This was up 13 percent and nine percent, respectively, from the most recent NBA Finals Game 6, which was in 2013 (Miami-San Antonio).

For the 48th consecutive time, the NBA Finals propelled ABC to win the night across all of television (broadcast and cable) and across all key demos, more than doubling its competition.

NBA Finals on WatchESPN

The 2015 NBA Finals was the most-viewed ever on WatchESPN. It averaged 757,000 unique viewers, which was up 102 percent from last year. Additionally, it delivered an average minute audience of 207,000 viewers, up 116 percent from 2014.

NBA Finals on ESPN Deportes

The NBA Finals on ESPN Deportes averaged a 0.7 Hispanic Household Rating with 144,000 Hispanic viewers (P2+). The series is tied with 2014 for the highest-rated ever in Spanish-language. Last night's Game 6 averaged a 1.1 Hispanic Household Rating with 243,000 Hispanic viewers, up 22 percent and 17 percent, respectively, for Game 6 in 2013.

NBA Countdown, ABC's NBA Finals pre-game show, averaged 5,466,000 viewers and a 3.5 U.S. household rating through six games. This is up 21 percent and 23 percent, respectively, from 2014. Last night's Game 6 Countdown show averaged 6,568,000 viewers and a 4.3 rating.

ABC has been the exclusive home to the NBA Finals since 2002-2003 season.
