NBC WINS TUESDAY AMONG THE BIG 4 IN ALL KEY MEASURES, SWEEPS SIX OF SIX HALF-HOURS AMONG THOSE NETS IN ADULTS 18-49
'AMERICA'S GOT TALENT' IS THE #1 SHOW OF THE NIGHT IN EVERY KEY CATEGORY
'TALENT' MATCHES THE SAME NIGHT LAST YEAR IN 18-49 AND GROWS +8% IN TOTAL VIEWERS
'HOLLYWOOD GAME NIGHT' TAKES THE 10 P.M. HOUR AMONG ABC, CBS & NBC IN EVERY KEY DEMO, LEADS BY A +38% MARGIN IN ADULTS 18-49
Tuesday Results:
NBC swept Tuesday night among the Big 4 networks, winning the night in all key categories and claiming six of six half-hours among those nets in adults 18-49.
· "America's Got Talent" (2.1/8 in 18-49, 10.2 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) ranks as the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in every key measure. "Talent" is currently running within 5% of last week's 2.2 rating in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings and within 9% of last week's 2.3 in official nationals (and is close to rounding up to a 2.2, currently reporting a 2.148 in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings). In total viewers, "Talent" is within 4% of last week's fast-affiliate result (10.246 million vs. 10.689 million).
· "America's Got Talent" is currently matching its 18-49 rating on the same night last year in 18-49 (2.1 vs. 2.1 from 9-11 p.m. on Aug. 26, 2014) and is up +8% versus its year-ago result in total viewers (10.246 million vs. 9.520 million).
· Heading into last night, "America's Got Talent" was up +7% summer to date versus one year ago in 18-49 (3.0 vs. 2.8, "most current") and up +8% in total viewers (12.5 million vs. 11.6 million).
· "America's Got Talent" will add substantial viewership via time-shifting -- Tuesday's "Talent" has grown by +30% in 18-49 rating (from a 2.37 to a 3.07) and more than 2.1 million viewers overall (10.6 million to 12.8 million) going from L+SD to L+7.
· Upscale: The prior week's "Talent" was the most upscale show of the night on the Big 4 networks in terms of adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes (with a 113 index).
· "Hollywood Game Night" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 4.4 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) won the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key demographic, taking the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC by a +38% margin in adults 18-49 (1.1 vs. 0.8 for CBS's #2 "NCIS: New Orleans" encore).
· "Hollywood Game Night" is tied for #2 show of the night on the Big 4 in adults 18-49, behind only NBC's "Talent."
· "Hollywood Game Night" will add significant viewership via time-shifting -- "HGN" is increasing by +20% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.30 to a 1.56) and 673,000 viewers overall (4.7 million to 5.3 million) going from L+SD to L+7.
· Upscale: The prior week's "HGN" was the top show of the night on the Big 4 networks in terms of adults 18-49 with four or more years of college (with a 113 index).
In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday Night:
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.5/7 with an encore telecast; "CBS Summer Showcase," 1.6/4 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.6/4.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.8/4 with an encore; "CBS Summer Showcase," 0.2/1 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.1/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (0.8/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.4/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.1/1 with an encore).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 with an encore in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
