WEEK 6 OF "THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL" ON CBS AND NFL NETWORK DELIVERS INCREASES IN VIEWERS AND HOUSEHOLD RATINGS
First Six Weeks of TNF Up +9% in Viewers From Last Year
CBS and NFL Network's broadcast of THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL featuring Seattle-San Francisco on Thursday, Oct. 22 was seen by an average of 17.1 million viewers, according to Nielsen fast national ratings (Live + Same Day), a +6% increase from last year's sixth TNF game (16.1 million, N.Y. Jets-New England, 10/16/14), and earned a household rating/share of 10.5/18, +4% from last year (10.1/17).
Through the six weeks of THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL, CBS and NFL Network's game coverage is averaging 17.6 million viewers, +9% from last year's 16.1 million, and has earned a combined national rating/share of 10.8/19, +8% from last year's 10.0/17.
In primetime from 8:00-11:00 PM, ET, CBS and NFL Network's pregame and game coverage of Seattle-San Francisco averaged 15.8 million viewers: +259% ahead of FOX (4.4m), +229% ahead of NBC (4.8m) and +98% ahead of ABC (8.0m).
CBS and NFL Network's HH rating/share of 9.7/17 in primetime also beat each of the broadcast networks: +246% ahead of FOX (2.8/5), +203% ahead of NBC (3.2/5) and +76% ahead of ABC (5.5/9).
The game peaked from 9:00-9:30 PM, ET in both viewers (18.2 million) and HH rating/share (11.1/18).
THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL continues next week on Oct. 29 with Miami at New England.
