Wednesday's Broadcast Ratings: "Empire" Grows in Latest FOX Victory

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (11/18/15):

FOX (7.957 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.9, #1) was still the network to beat on Wednesday with new episodes of "Rosewood" (4.757 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T8) and "Empire" (11.156 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.4, #1).

ABC (6.380 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.8, #2) then took home the silver with originals from "The Middle" (7.853 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.0, #T4), "The Goldbergs" (7.066 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 2.2, #3), "Modern Family" (8.351 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.8, #2), "Black-ish" (6.151 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.9, #6) and "Nashville" (4.430 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T13).

Next up was CBS (7.810 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #3) and its trio of "Survivor: Cambodia - Second Chance" (8.867 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.0, #T4), "Criminal Minds" (8.029 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.5, #7) and "Code Black" (6.533 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.2, #11).

Meanwhile, NBC (6.698 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #4) offered up new episodes from "The Mysteries of Laura" (7.374 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #12), "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (6.264 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T8) and "Chicago PD" (6.456 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T8).

And finally, new episodes of "Arrow" (2.574 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T13) and "Supernatural" (1.751 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.7, #15) on The CW (2.163 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #5) closed out the night.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (0.9/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.6/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

ABC (7.648 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.3, #1) was the demo champ on Wednesday thanks to its lineup of "The Middle" (8.324 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.2, #6), "The Goldbergs" (7.701 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 2.4, #T3), "Modern Family" (10.902 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.7, #1), "Black-ish" (7.948 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 2.6, #2) and "Nashville" (5.506 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T10).

CBS (9.473 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.1, #2) then was a close second place with its trio of "Survivor: San Juan del Sur" (9.823 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.4, #T3), "Criminal Minds" (10.612 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.3, #5) and "Stalker" (7.982 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.7, #8).

Next up was NBC (7.885 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #3) with fresh installments of "The Mysteries of Laura" (8.570 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #12), "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (7.863 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.8, #7) and "Chicago PD" (7.223 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.6, #9).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.447 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #4) served up originals from "Hell's Kitchen" (3.943 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T10) and "Red Band Society" (2.951 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T13).

And finally, new episodes of "Arrow" (2.625 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T13) and "The 100" (1.658 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.6, #15) on The CW (2.142 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #5) closed out the evening. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), the former delivered a 0.7 rating while the latter posted a 0.5 rating.
