HIGHEST RATINGS IN A YEAR FOR DISNEY JUNIOR'S
"SOFIA THE FIRST" GUEST STARRING OLAF FROM DISNEY'S "FROZEN"
"Sofia the First" (11:30-11:55 a.m.)
A new episode of the hit animated series "Sofia the First," entitled "Sofia the First: Olaf and the Tale of Miss Nettle" with a special appearance by Olaf from Disney's blockbuster "Frozen," ranked as the series' most watched telecast in 15 months in Total Viewers (3.3 million) - and its #5 telecast overall - and hit a one year ratings high among Kids 2-5 (975,000/6.3 rating) - since 11/23/14 and 2/20/15, respectively. The telecast also generated 15 month highs in Girls 2-5 (664,000/8.8 rating), Adults 18-49 (1.0 million/0.8 rating) and Kids 2-11 (1.7 million/4.4 rating) - since 11/23/14.
2016 to date, "Sofia the First" is cable TV's #1 telecast in Girls 2-5 and the #1 preschooler telecast in Total Viewers, Kids 2-11 and Adults 18-49.
· Live + 3 vs. Live + Same Day, "Sofia the First" soared by double digits across all demos, including by 14% in Total Viewers (3.3 million vs. 2.9 million), by 20% in Kids 2-5 (975,000 vs. 812,000), by 11% in Adults 18-49 (1.0 million vs. 900,000) and by 13% in Kids 2-11 (1.7 million vs. 1.5 million).
· During the most recent full quarter (4Q15), "Sofia the First" reached nearly 50 million unique Total Viewers across the U.S., delivered over 16 million combined WATCH Disney Junior views/VOD orders with close to half of all Adults 18-49 watching with a preschooler (42%).
Disney Junior's Emmy Award-nominated "Sofia the First" is the all-time record holder for the top three cable TV telecasts ever and TV's #1 series in Girls 2-5 for three straight years.
The series stars Ariel Winter as Sofia, Sara Ramirez as Queen Miranda, Wayne Brady as Clover and Tim Gunn as Baileywick. Josh Gad is the voice of Olaf in the story titled "The Secret Library: Olaf and the Tale of Miss Nettle," the second episode of a four-part story arc. Megan Mullally is the voice of Miss Nettle, a role for which she received an Emmy Award nomination earlier this year. Eric Stonestreet and Hugh Bonneville recur as Sofia's flying horse Minimus and the Narrator, respectively.
"Sofia the First" is executive-produced by Jamie Mitchell and Craig Gerber and is a production of Disney Television Animation.
