Tuesday Primetime Results:
NBC wins Tuesday among the Big 4 in every key measure, led by the #1 show of the night in 18-49, "The Voice," while "Chicago Med" and "Chicago Fire" tie for the #2 show of the night.
"The Voice" (2.3/8 in 18-49, 10.8 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET):
· Ranks as the #1 show of the night on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, total viewers and every other key measure.
· Retains 96% of last week's 2.4 in these prelim fast-affiliate ratings and 92% of last week's 2.5 in official nationals
· In total viewers, grows +3% versus last week's 10.544 million in fast-affil figures and +1% versus last week's 10.764 million in official nationals.
· Will add substantial viewership via time-shifting and VOD - season to date, Tuesday's "Voice" has grown by +24% in 18-49 rating (from a 2.95 to a 3.66) and 2.2 million viewers overall (12.0 million to 14.2 million) going from L+SD to L+7.
· Upscale: Tuesday's "Voice" has delivered a solidly upscale audience, indexing at a 117 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes ("most current," including L+3).
"Chicago Med" (1.8/6 in 18-49, 8.6 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET):
· With its first telecast in five weeks, grows +20% versus its prior episode in 18-49 (1.8 vs. 1.5 on Feb. 23) and increases +30% in total viewers (8.616 million vs. 6.642 million).
· Ties for the #2 show of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49, behind only "The Voice."
· Wins the slot among the Big 4 in every key measure
· Delivers the show's highest regular-slot figures since Dec. 8 (2.1 in 18-49, 9.6 million viewers overall).
· Is up +20% versus NBC's March 2015 non-"Voice" average in the slot (1.8 vs. 1.5 for comedies) and is up +74% in total viewers (8.616 million vs. 4.944 million).
· Will add substantial audience via time-shifting and VOD:
· The prior telecast of "Med" on Feb. 23 increased by +48% in 18-49 (1.47 to 2.17) and more than 2.3 million viewers (6.6 million to 9.0 million) going from L+SD to L+3.
· The 0.70 increase in 18-49 was the biggest L+3 lift to date for a non-crossover episode of "Med."
"Chicago Fire" (1.8/6 in 18-49, 8.7 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET):
· Equals the show's highest rating since Dec. 8 (2.0) and delivers its most-watched episode since that same date (9.1 million).
· With its first original telecast in five weeks, grows +13% vs. its prior original telecast in 18-49 (1.8 vs. 1.6 on Feb. 23) and grows in total viewers by +12% (8.736 million vs. 7.802 million)
· Ranks #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in every key measure
· Ranks #1 by a +100% margin among those nets in the slot in adults 18-49 (1.8 vs. 0.9 for CBS's #2 "Late Late Show Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special").
· Ties for the #2 show of the night on the Big 4 in 18-49, behind only "The Voice."
· Delivers its 24thconsecutive time-period win in 18-49 versus regular ABC-CBS competition in the 10-11 p.m. slot when in original, dating back to February 2015.
· Will add substantial audience via time-shifting and VOD:
· The prior original of "Chicago Fire" on Feb. 23 increased by +52% in 18-49 (1.62 to 2.47) and 2.9 million viewers (7.8 million to 10.7 million) going from L+SD to L+3.
· "Fire's" lifts of 0.85 of a point in 18-49 and 2.9 million viewers overall were the biggest L+3 increases of the night on the Big 4.
· This season, "Chicago Fire" has grown by +61% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.81 to a 2.92) and 3.6 million viewers overall (8.0 million to 11.6 million) going from L+SD to L+7.
In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday Night:
Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers were the #1-2 late-night shows in 18-49 in the 25 Nielsen markets with local people meters.
· In adult 18-49 rating in the local people meters, Fallon (0.9) topped the combined results of CBS's "Late Show with Stephen Colbert" (0.3) and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" (0.4).
· In 18-49 in the local people meters, Meyers (0.5) beat both Colbert (0.3) and Kimmel (0.4), despite Meyers' later start time.
· In 18-49, Carson Daly (0.3) beat Corden (0.1), despite starting an hour later, tied "Nightline" (0.3), despite starting 90 minutes later, and tied Colbert (0.3), despite starting two hours later.
· Fallon's guests Tuesday night Susan Sarandon, John Cena and musical guest Michael Stipe.
· Meyers' guests Tuesday included Tracy Morgan, Maggie Siff, John Heilemann and Mark Halperin.
· Daly's guests Tuesday night included Erin Richards, Mary Elizabeth Ellis and musical guest Plague Vendor.
· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.8/7; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 1.7/4; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.5/4.
· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/5; "Late Show," 0.3/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2.
· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.
· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (0.8/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.1/1).
· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
