Friday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Tops Demos with "America's Got Talent" Encore

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (6/17/16):

NBC (4.353 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #1) was the demo champ on Friday thanks to a repeat "America's Got Talent" (4.495 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T1) and a new "Dateline NBC" (4.069 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T5).

ABC (3.885 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #2) then was a close second with a repeat "Shark Tank" (3.840 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T3) followed by the return of "Primetime: What Would You Do?" (3.797 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T1) and a new "20/20" (4.018 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T3).

Next up was CBS (5.186 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.6, #3) and its second run lineup of "NCIS: Los Angeles" (4.586 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7), "Hawaii Five-0" (5.163 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7) and "Blue Bloods" (5.811 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T5).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.444 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) likewise offered up repeats of "Rosewood" (1.807 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.4, #9) and "MasterChef" (1.081 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T10).

And finally, The CW (1.208 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the evening with a new "Masters of Illusion" (1.205 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T10) followed by repeats of "Masters of Illusion" (1.168 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T10) and "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" (1.230 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T10).

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.5/6; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 1.9/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.8/5 with an encore.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.7/4; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline," averaged a 1.4/4 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.0/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.3/2 in 18-49 with an encore) tied "Late Late Show" (0.3/2 with an encore).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/1 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (6/19/15):

ABC (5.216 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.1, #1) was the network to beat on Friday with its mix of "Shark Tank" (4.122 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T3), "Primetime: What Would You Do?" (4.357 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #2) and "20/20" (7.169 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #1).

NBC (3.513 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #2) then claimed the silver with a repeat "America's Got Talent" (3.438 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T3) and a new "Dateline NBC" (3.664 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T3).

Next up was CBS (4.709 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #3) and its repeat lineup of "Undercover Boss" (3.974 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.7, #6), "Hawaii Five-0" (4.589 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7) and "Blue Bloods" (5.564 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T7).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.658 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4) served up its primetime coverage of "115th U.S. Open Championship" (2.658 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #9).

And finally, a new "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.553 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T10), a repeat "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.538 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T10) and a new "The Messengers" (1.062 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #12) on The CW (1.304 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) closed out the evening. In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), said trio posted a 0.3, 0.3 and 0.3 rating, respectively.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with James Corden" (0.9/3 with an encore). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/1 with an encore).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
