Friday's Broadcast Ratings: Olympic Games Enter Week Two on Top

Here are the highlights of the 11 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (8/12/16):

NBC (23.904 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 6.3, #1) continued its reign on Friday with its coverage of the "Olympic Games Rio 2016" (23.904 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 6.3, #1).

ABC (4.032 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #2) then was the distant number two draw with its mix of "Shark Tank" (4.055 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2), "Primetime: What Would You Do?" (3.680 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2) and "20/20" (4.360 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2).

Next up was CBS (4.499 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3) and its repeat lineup of "NCIS: Los Angeles" (4.573 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T5), "Hawaii Five-0" (4.441 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T5) and "Blue Bloods" (4.484 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #7).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.828 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4) offered up a special edition of "MLB on FOX" (1.828 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.5, #8).

And finally, repeats of "Masters of Illusion" (0.996 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9), another "Masters of Illusion" (0.958 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9) and "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" (1.025 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T9) on The CW (1.001 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the night.

(4.651 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #1) and "20/20" (4.426 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T2).

CBS (4.779 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #4) then was the most-watched network with its repeat lineup of "Elementary" (3.823 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T10), "Hawaii Five-0" (4.993 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T6) and "Blue Bloods" (5.520 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T6).

Next up was NBC (4.046 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2) with an encore of "America's Got Talent" (3.698 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T6) and a new "Dateline NBC" (4.741 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T2).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.201 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T2) served up second runs of "MasterChef" (3.496 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T2) and "Gotham" (2.907 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T6).

And finally, a new "Masters of Illusion" (1.969 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T10) and repeats of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.730 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T10) and "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" (1.937 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T10) closed out the evening on The CW (1.893 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #5). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), said trio posted a 0.5, 0.4 and 0.4 rating, respectively.

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.7/7; "CBS Summer Showcase," 1.7/4 with an encore; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.7/4 with an encore.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/5; "CBS Summer Showcase," 0.3/1 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.3/4 in metered-market households with an encore) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with James Corden" (0.6/2 with an encore delayed by PGA golf coverage). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49 with an encore) topped "Late Late Show" (0.1/1 with an encore delayed by PGA golf coverage).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
