Monday's Broadcast Ratings: "The Voice" Powers Another NBC Victory

Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (10/3/16):

NBC (10.275 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.6, #1) led the broadcast charge with a new "The Voice" (11.582 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.9, #2) followed by the debut of "Timeless" (7.662 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.9, #T4).

CBS (10.198 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.2, #2) then was the silver draw with its mix of "The Big Bang Theory" (14.396 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.4, #1), "Kevin Can Wait" (10.368 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.4, #3), the return of "Scorpion" (9.403 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.9, #T4) and a second "Scorpion" (8.810 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T6).

Next up was ABC (8.850 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.4, #3) with a new "Dancing with the Stars" (10.555 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T6) and the premiere of "Conviction" (5.439 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T9).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.415 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #4) offered up originals from "Gotham" (3.139 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T9) and "Lucifer" (3.692 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #8).

And finally, repeats of "Supergirl" (1.288 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #12) and another "Supergirl" (1.429 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #11) closed out the night on The CW (1.358 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.8/5; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/5 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.2/5 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.0/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (10/5/15):

NBC (10.954 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.9, #1) continued its reign on Monday with week three of "The Voice" (11.895 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 3.2, #2) and "Blindspot" (9.071 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.5, #3).

CBS (9.932 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.9, #2) then claimed the silver with its lineup of "The Big Bang Theory" (15.027 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.7, #1), "Life in Pieces" (9.159 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.9, #4), "Scorpion" (9.816 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.8, #5) and "NCIS: Los Angeles" (7.887 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.2, #9).

Next up was ABC (10.300 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #3) and its mainstays "Dancing with the Stars" (11.786 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.7, #6) and "Castle" (7.327 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.3, #8).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.249 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #4) offered up originals from "Gotham" (4.214 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.5, #7) and "Minority Report" (2.283 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #10).

And finally, The CW (1.156 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) closed out the evening with its departing trio of "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" (1.370 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T11), "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.224 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T11) and "Significant Mother" (0.658 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #13). In the netlet's target demo (women 18-34), said trio posted a 0.3, 0.4 and a 0.2 rating, respectively.
