Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Tops Demo Charts with "This Is Us"

Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (10/11/16):

NBC (9.325 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.4, #1) was the adults 18-49 champ on Tuesday with its mix of "The Voice" (10.638 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.5, #2), "This Is Us" (9.818 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.8, #1) and the season premiere of "Chicago Fire" (7.521 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.8, #T3).

CBS (12.367 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #2) then was the silver draw with its trio of "NCIS" (14.482 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T5), "Bull" (12.966 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #7) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (9.654 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T9).

Next up was ABC (4.579 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.4, #3) and the debut of its fall lineup of "The Middle" (6.632 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T5), "American Housewife" (6.487 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.8, #T3), "Fresh Off the Boat" (4.962 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.5, #8), "The Real O'Neals" (3.762 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T9) and "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (2.816 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T12).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.842 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) offered up its crossover between "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (2.133 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T12) and "New Girl" (1.958 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T12) plus a new "Scream Queens" (1.639 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.7, #15).

And finally, The CW (1.796 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #5) closed out the night with week two of "The Flash" (2.750 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.0, #11) and "No Tomorrow" (0.843 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.3, #16).

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.3/5 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/4 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.5/4 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.3/2 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (10/13/15):

NBC (7.251 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) was the demo champ on Tuesday with its revised lineup of "Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris" (4.475 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.2, #10), "The Voice" (9.913 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.5, #1) and "Chicago Fire" (7.366 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.8, #3).

CBS (12.027 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.6, #2) then was a competitive second with its trio of "NCIS" (15.733 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.0, #2), "NCIS: New Orleans" (12.250 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.5, #4) and "Limitless" (8.098 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T5).

Next up was ABC (3.464 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) and originals from "The Muppets" (4.497 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T8), "Fresh Off the Boat" (4.077 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T5) and "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (3.720 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T5) plus a repeat "Shark Tank" (2.386 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.7, #14).
