Wednesday's Broadcast Ratings: ABC Pulls in Front Among Adults 18-49

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (10/19/16):

ABC (8.595 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.5, #1) pulled into the top spot on Wednesday with its mix of "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" (7.663 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.2, #T3), "Toy Story of Terror!" (6.702 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 2.0, #T7), "The Third Presidential Debate" (9.838 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.8, #T1) and "The Third Presidential Debate - Analysis" (7.696 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 2.2, #T3).

NBC (7.692 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.2, #2) then was the silver draw with a new "Blindspot" (5.623 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.3, #12) followed by "The Third Presidential Debate" (9.180 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.8, #T1) and "The Third Presidential Debate - Analysis" (7.370 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 2.2, #T3).

Next up was CBS (8.706 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.0, #3) and its lineup of "Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X" (8.630 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.9, #9), "The Third Presidential Debate" (9.294 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.2, #T3) and "The Third Presidential Debate - Analysis" (7.093 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T10).

Meanwhile, FOX (6.423 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.9, #4) offered up an original "Lethal Weapon" (6.611 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T10) alongside its coverage of "The Third Presidential Debate" (6.298 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 2.0, #T7).

And finally, new episodes of "Arrow" (1.798 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.6, #13) and "Frequency" (1.052 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.4, #14) on The CW (1.425 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #5) closed out the night.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.5/5 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.0/4 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.3/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.3/3.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

FOX (8.697 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.1, #1) held onto the top spot on Wednesday thanks to week-to-week gains from "Rosewood" (5.211 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T8) and "Empire" (12.183 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 4.8, #1).
