Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Tops Demos, CBS Wins Total Viewers

Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (11/15/16):

NBC (8.702 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.0, #1) was the network to beat on Tuesday with its mix of "The Voice" (9.663 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.1, #2), "This Is Us" (9.499 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.6, #1) and "Chicago Fire" (6.944 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T7).

CBS (11.819 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T2) then was the most-watched network with its trio of "NCIS" (14.610 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #3), "Bull" (11.786 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T7) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (9.061 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T10).

Next up was ABC (4.914 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T2) with originals from "The Middle" (6.158 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T4), "American Housewife" (5.240 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T4), "Fresh Off the Boat" (4.259 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.3, #9), "The Real O'Neals" (3.563 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.1, #12) and "David Blaine: Beyond Magic" (5.131 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.6, #T4).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.762 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) offered up fresh installments of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (2.205 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T13), "New Girl" (1.959 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T13) and "Scream Queens" (1.443 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.6, #15).

And finally, new episodes of "The Flash" (3.001 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T10) and "No Tomorrow" (0.855 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.3, #16) on The CW (1.928 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #5) closed out the night.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.1/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.3/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (11/17/15):

NBC (9.217 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.2, #1) was the demo champ on Tuesday thanks to a new "The Voice" (11.110 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.6, #1), the launch of "Chicago Med" (8.593 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.2, #2) and an original "Chicago Fire" (7.948 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.9, #4).

CBS (12.296 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2) then was the number two draw with its trio of "NCIS" (16.471 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.1, #3), "NCIS: New Orleans" (12.866 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #5) and "Limitless" (7.552 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T6).

Next up was ABC (3.331 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) with originals from "The Muppets" (3.901 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.2, #10), "Fresh Off the Boat" (3.843 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T6) and "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (3.572 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T8) plus a repeat "Shark Tank" (2.549 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #14).
