Friday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS Tops Viewers, Edges Out Demo Crown

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (2/10/17):

CBS (9.434 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #1) edged out the competition on Friday with new episodes from "MacGyver" (8.047 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T3), "Hawaii Five-0" (9.782 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T1) and "Blue Bloods" (10.472 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T3).

ABC (4.842 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #2) then was a close second with its annual repeats of "Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown" (4.415 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.0, #5) and "A Charlie Brown Valentine" (3.889 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T6) followed by new episodes of "Shark Tank" (5.751 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T1) and "20/20" (4.624 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T6).

Next up was NBC (3.270 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3) and its trio of "Grimm" (3.948 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T8), "Emerald City" (2.305 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #11) and "Dateline NBC" (3.558 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T8).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.468 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) offered up fresh installments from "Rosewood" (2.910 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T8) and "Sleepy Hollow" (2.027 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.5, #12).

And finally, a new "The Vampire Diaries" (1.139 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.4, #13) and the return of "Reign" (0.776 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.2, #14) closed out the night on The CW (0.957 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.7/4; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.3/4 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/4 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.2/1 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (2/12/16):

ABC (6.145 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #1) was still the demo champ on Friday with its annual repeat of "A Charlie Brown Valentine" (4.567 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.0, #6) followed by new episodes of "Shark Tank" (6.691 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T1) and "20/20" (7.179 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.7, #T1).

The silver then went to CBS (8.589 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2) and its trio of "Undercover Boss" (6.123 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.2, #5), "Hawaii Five-0" (8.760 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #4) and "Blue Bloods" (10.884 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #3).

Next up was NBC (4.135 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #3) and its mix of "Caught on Camera with Nick Cannon" (4.166 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.8, #9), "Grimm" (4.132 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T7) and "Dateline NBC" (4.108 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T7).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.659 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) offered up originals from "Sleepy Hollow" (3.172 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #10) and "Second Chance" (2.147 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.5, #11).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
