Thursday's Broadcast Ratings: ABC Continues Demo Win Streak

Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (2/16/17):

ABC (6.110 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.7, #1) was the demo champ for the fourth consecutive week with new episodes of "Grey's Anatomy" (7.632 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.0, #2), "Scandal" (6.067 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.7, #3) and "How to Get Away with Murder" (4.633 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T6).

CBS (7.164 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2) then was the silver draw with its mix of "The Big Bang Theory" (13.301 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.7, #1), "The Great Indoors" (8.112 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.6, #4), "Mom" (7.704 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.5, #5), "Life in Pieces" (6.206 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T6) and "Training Day" (3.831 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T13).

Next up was NBC (4.590 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3) with originals from "Superstore" (3.622 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T9), "Powerless" (2.464 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.8, #12), "Chicago Med" (6.054 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.2, #8) and "The Blacklist" (4.674 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.9, #11).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.923 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4) offered up fresh installments of "MasterChef Junior" (3.709 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T9) and "My Kitchen Rules" (2.139 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T13).

And finally, new episodes from "Supernatural" (1.825 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T13) and "Riverdale" (1.119 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.4, #16) rounded out the night on The CW (1.471 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #5).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.6/3; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/5 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.2/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.3/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (2/18/16):

FOX (8.122 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.0, #1) edged out the demo crown on Thursday with a new "American Idol" (7.999 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.9, #5) and a second "American Idol" (8.245 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 2.0, #4).

CBS (8.539 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.9, #2) then was a close second with its mix of "The Big Bang Theory" (14.947 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 3.7, #1), "Life in Pieces" (9.465 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.1, #3), "Mom" (8.673 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.8, #6), the relocated "2 Broke Girls" (6.380 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.5, #8) and "Elementary" (5.884 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.0, #12).

Next up was ABC (6.224 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.8, #3) and its trio of "Grey's Anatomy" (7.770 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.2, #2), "Scandal" (6.064 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.7, #7) and "How to Get Away with Murder" (4.839 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 1.4, #9).
