Friday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS Tops Both Viewers, Demos

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (2/17/17):

CBS (8.929 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.1, #1) took home top honors on Friday with fresh installments from "MacGyver" (7.311 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T5), "Hawaii Five-0" (9.483 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T1) and "Blue Bloods" (9.995 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T1).

ABC (4.907 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #2) then was the silver draw with its mix of "Last Man Standing" (6.479 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T1), "Dr. Ken" (4.261 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7), "Shark Tank" (5.182 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T1) and "20/20" (4.168 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T5).

Next up was NBC (3.182 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3) and its trio of "Grimm" (3.874 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7), "Emerald City" (2.406 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T10) and "Dateline NBC" (3.266 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.280 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) served up originals from "Rosewood" (2.733 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T10) and "Sleepy Hollow" (1.828 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.5, #1).

And finally, new episodes from "The Vampire Diaries" (1.023 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.4, #13) and "Reign" (0.676 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.2, #14) rounded out the night on The CW (0.849 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.7/3; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.1/4 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.2/4 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.3/2 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/1 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

ABC (5.744 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.3, #1) was the network to beat among adults 18-49 on Friday with new episodes of "Last Man Standing" (6.658 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T3), "Dr. Ken" (4.941 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5), "Shark Tank" (6.175 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.5, #1) and "20/20" (5.257 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T3).

CBS (8.458 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2) then was a close second with the return of "The Amazing Race" (5.909 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5) and new episodes of "Hawaii Five-0" (8.816 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5) and "Blue Bloods" (10.649 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.3, #2).

Next up was NBC (3.991 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #3) and its trio of "Caught on Camera with Nick Cannon" (3.688 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T9), "Grimm" (4.023 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #8) and "Dateline NBC" (4.263 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T9).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.576 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #4) offered up fresh installments of "Sleepy Hollow" (3.152 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T9) and "Second Chance" (2.001 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #12).
