SCIENCE CHANNEL RISES TO START THE FALL WITH ITS HIGHEST RATED OCTOBER EVER IN PRIMETIME
(New York) - Science Channel continued its strong 2017 performance in October with record ratings in key demos as well as total viewers. In Primetime among Adults/Men/Women 25-54 and in Total Viewers P2+ the network eclipsed its highest rated October ever.
Compared to 2016, these same Primetime ratings grew +29%/+21%/+30% among Adults/Men/Women 25-54 and were +14% among Total Viewers P2+.
Among the drivers of the October ratings gains were strong Tuesday nights, which grew 28% over 2016 behind space series SPACE'S DEEPEST SECRETS and THE PLANETS as well as the mystery programs WHAT ON EARTH? and STRANGE EVIDENCE. Saturday evenings were up 62% compared to 2016, due in part to the freshman series MYSTERIES OF THE MISSING, which averaged 472,000 total viewers.
