Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: "Roseanne" Return Rockets ABC to Top Demo Spot

Here are the highlights of the 16 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (3/27/18):

ABC (9.898 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.8, #1) rocketed to the demo spot on Tuesday thanks to the return of "Roseanne" (17.741 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 4.9, #2), a second "Roseanne" (18.573 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 5.3, #1), a new "Black-ish" (8.714 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 2.6, #3), the premiere of "Splitting Up Together" (7.202 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 2.2, #4) and an original "For the People" (3.579 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T9).

CBS (10.328 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T2) however remained the most-watched network with its mainstays "NCIS" (11.769 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.3, #6), "Bull" (10.669 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #7) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (8.546 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T9).

Next up was NBC (6.386 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T2) with originals from "The Voice" (8.878 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.6, #5), "Rise" (4.475 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #11) and "Chicago Med" (5.806 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.0, #8).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.896 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4) offered up a repeat "Lethal Weapon" (1.884 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T14) plus new episodes of "LA to Vegas" (2.024 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T12) and "The Mick" (1.791 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T12).

And finally, a repeat "The Flash" (0.824 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.2, #16) and an original "Black Lightning" (1.537 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T14) closed out the night on The CW (1.180 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.5/3 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (0.9/3 in metered-market households with an encore); CBS's "Late Late Show" (1.2/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night" (0.3/2 in 18-49 with an encore); "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

NBC (6.849 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.5, #1) was still the network to beat on Tuesday with new episodes of "The Voice" (9.975 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 2.1, #1), "Trial & Error" (4.559 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T6), a second "Trial & Error" (3.373 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T10) and "Chicago Fire" (6.606 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.4, #3).
