Monday's Broadcast Ratings: ABC, "The Bachelorette" Hold Off Competition

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (6/18/18):

ABC (5.062 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #1) held off the competition on Monday with a new "The Bachelorette" (5.669 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #1) alongside the launch of "The Proposal" (3.848 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T3).

NBC (3.885 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #2) then took home the silver with the relocated "Running Wild with Bear Grylls" (3.203 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.7, #5) and "American Ninja Warrior" (4.227 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.0, #2).

Next up was CBS (4.320 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) and repeats of "Mom" (4.402 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T6), "Man with a Plan" (3.835 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T6) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (4.270 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T6) plus a new "Elementary" (4.571 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T6).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.650 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) offered up a new "So You Think You Can Dance" (3.128 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T3) and an encore "So You Think You Can Dance" (2.173 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T10).

And finally, the season finale of "Supergirl" (1.785 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T10), a new "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.959 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T12) and a repeat "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.898 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T12) rounded out the evening on The CW (1.357 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.5/3; "Late Show," 0.4/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.0/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.1/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (6/19/17):

NBC (5.362 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #1) was the network to beat on Monday with originals from "American Ninja Warrior" (5.797 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.5, #2) and "Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge" (4.494 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3).

ABC (4.529 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2) then was a close second with new episodes from "The Bachelorette" (5.858 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.6, #1) and "Still Star-Crossed" (1.872 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #11).

Next up was FOX (2.915 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #3) with fresh installments of "So You Think You Can Dance" (3.345 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4) and "Superhuman" (2.485 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T5).

Meanwhile, CBS (3.960 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) offered up repeats of "Kevin Can Wait" (4.325 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T5), "Man with a Plan" (3.885 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T5), "Mom" (4.205 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T5), "Life in Pieces" (3.643 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #9) and "Scorpion" (3.851 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #10).

And finally, The CW (1.082 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the night with its mix of a repeat "Supergirl" (1.147 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T12), a new "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"
