Tuesday's Broadcast Ratings: No Stopping NBC, "America's Got Talent"

Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (7/24/18):

NBC (9.610 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.7, #1) was of course the network to beat on Tuesday with new episodes of "America's Got Talent" (11.515 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.0, #1) and the Wednesday-bound "World of Dance" (5.799 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2).

FOX (2.052 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #2) then was a distant second with fresh installments from "Beat Shazam" (2.282 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3) and "Love Connection" (1.822 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4).

Next up was CBS (4.321 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T3) with repeats of "NCIS" (5.312 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4), a special "SEAL Team" (3.502 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T11) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (4.148 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4).

Meanwhile, ABC (1.955 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T3) offered up second runs of "The Middle" (2.568 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4), another "The Middle" (2.283 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4), "Black-ish" (1.932 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4), another "Black-ish" (1.688 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T4) and the season finale of "The Last Defense" (1.630 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T11).

And finally, The CW (0.751 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) closed out the night with originals from "The 100" (0.864 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #13) and "The Outpost" (0.638 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.1, #14).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.5/3; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline," averaged a 1.0/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.0/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.1/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/2 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/1.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (7/25/17):

NBC (10.987 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.3, #1) coasted to another victory on Tuesday with new episodes from "America's Got Talent" (12.880 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.6, #1) and "World of Dance" (7.203 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2).

CBS (5.532 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.6, #2) then was a distant silver with its trio of "NCIS" (6.340 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3), "Bull" (4.950 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6) and "NCIS: New Orleans" (5.308 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3).

Next up was ABC (2.091 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #3) with repeats of "The Middle" (3.050 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3), "Fresh Off the Boat" (2.128 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6), "Black-ish" (1.852 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6), another "Black-ish" (1.959 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6) and a new "Somewhere Between" (1.780 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T10).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.356 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T4) offered up second runs of "Lethal Weapon" (1.688 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T10), "The Mick" (1.103 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T12) and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (0.946 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T12).
