Monday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Rides "The Voice," "Manifest" to Another Victory

Here are the highlights of the 11 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (10/8/18):

[EDITOR'S NOTE: ABC and NBC's Monday lineup were preempted for local NFL coverage in the Washington, D.C. and New Orleans markets, respectively.]

NBC (9.097 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.9, #1) continued its Monday reign thanks to new episodes of "The Voice" (9.725 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.0, #1) and "Manifest" (7.843 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.7, #2).

FOX (5.388 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2) then was the silver draw with fresh installments from "The Resident" (4.853 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T7) and "9-1-1" (5.924 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.4, #3).

Next up was ABC (7.565 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) and its duo of "Dancing with the Stars" (7.631 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5) and "The Good Doctor" (7.432 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #4).

Meanwhile, CBS (6.033 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.9, #4) served up its lineup of "The Neighborhood" (6.434 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T5), "Happy Together" (4.963 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T7), "Magnum P.I." (5.957 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T7) and "Bull" (6.443 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #10).

And finally, the conclusion to "The iHeartFestival Music Festival Night 2" (0.610 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.2, #11) on The CW (0.610 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) rounded out the night.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.4/3; "Late Show," 0.4/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.3/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.2/5 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.0/4 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/2 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.7/4 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (10/9/17):

NBC (8.953 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.0, #1) took home the demo honors on Monday with new episodes of "The Voice" (10.760 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 2.4, #2) and "The Brave" (5.341 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T7).

ABC (9.601 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T2) then was the most-watched broadcaster with originals from "Dancing with the Stars" (9.108 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.3, #6) and "The Good Doctor" (10.589 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.9, #3).

Next up was CBS (7.216 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.5, #T2) and its lineup of "The Big Bang Theory" (13.048 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 2.8, #1), "9JKL" (7.743 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.5, #4), "Kevin Can Wait" (6.684 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.4, #5), "Me, Myself & I" (4.988 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.1, #9) and "Scorpion" (5.417 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.0, #10).

Meanwhile, FOX (3.577 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #4) offered up week two of "Lucifer" (3.300 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.9, #11) and "The Gifted" (3.853 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.2, #T7).

And finally, The CW (1.534 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.4, #5) kicked off its fall lineup with the return of "Supergirl" (1.860 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.5, #12) and the launch of "Valor" (1.208 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #13).
