Thursday's Broadcast Ratings: CBS Tops Charts with All Repeat Lineup

Here are the highlights of the 20 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (12/27/18):

CBS (4.710 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #1) was the king of the repeats on Thursday with its mix of "The Big Bang Theory" (6.475 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.0, #1), "Young Sheldon" (5.978 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T2), "Mom" (5.203 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T2), "The Neighborhood" (3.988 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5) and "SWAT" (3.310 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T7).

NBC (2.721 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T2) then claimed the silver with a new "I Feel Bad" (2.500 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T7), the season finale of "I Feel Bad" (1.936 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T13), a repeat "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (2.647 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T13) and another "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (3.299 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T7).

Next up was ABC (2.460 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T2) and its second run lineup of "Happy New Year, Charlie Brown" (3.354 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #4), "The Conners" (2.453 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T5), "The Kids Are Alright" (1.849 million viewers, #17; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T13), another "The Conners" (2.027 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T13) and another "The Kids Are Alright" (1.727 million viewers, #18; adults 18-49: 0.3, #18).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.261 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T2) offered up repeats of "Last Man Standing" (2.487 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T7), "The Cool Kids" (2.109 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T13), a second "Last Man Standing" (2.279 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T7) and a second "The Cool Kids" (2.169 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T7).

And finally, rebroadcasts of "Supernatural" (0.908 million viewers, #19; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T19) and "Legacies" (0.588 million viewers, #20; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T19) rounded out the night on The CW (0.748 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.4/3 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.3/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/3 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 0.9/3 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.0/3 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/2 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.2/1 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.5/2 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.1/1 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (12/28/17):

CBS (6.889 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.2, #1) led the final Thursday of 2017 with its repeat lineup of "The Big Bang Theory" (8.610 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T2), "Young Sheldon" (8.535 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.4, #T2), another "The Big Bang Theory" (8.323 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.5, #1), "Mom" (6.488 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #4) and "SWAT" (4.690 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.8, #5).

The silver then went to ABC (3.603 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #2) with rebroadcasts of "To Tell the Truth" (3.963 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T6), "The $100,000 Pyramid" (3.736 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T6) and "Match Game" (3.108 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #8).

Next up was FOX (1.501 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #3) and its telecast of "Apple Music's Can't Stop Won't Stop: A Bad Boy Story" (1.501 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T9).

Meanwhile, NBC (2.278 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.4, #4) offered up its mix of "Superstore" (2.776 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T9), "Will & Grace" (2.146 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T11), another "Will & Grace" (2.269 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T11), a new "Great News" (1.696 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T11) and "Chicago Fire" (2.391 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T11).

And finally, an encore of "iHeartRadio Music Festival, Night 1" (1.237 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.3, #15) rounded out the night on The CW (1.237 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5).
