Friday's Broadcast Ratings: FOX Tops Demos with "Last Man Standing"

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (1/11/19):

FOX (4.206 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #1) took home top demo honors on Friday with its lineup of "Last Man Standing" (6.208 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #1), "The Cool Kids" (4.776 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.0, #2) and "Hell's Kitchen" (2.921 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T4).

CBS (7.829 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.8, #2) then claimed the silver with its trio of "MacGyver" (6.625 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T4), "Hawaii Five-0" (7.885 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.9, #3) and "Blue Bloods" (8.979 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T4).

Next up was ABC (3.740 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) and its mix of "Fresh Off the Boat" (3.166 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.7, #7), "Speechless" (2.419 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.5, #12) and a two-hour "20/20" (4.214 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8).

Meanwhile, NBC (3.334 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T3) served up the return of "Blindspot" (3.069 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8) plus originals from "The Blacklist" (3.650 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8) and "Dateline NBC" (3.283 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T8).

And finally, The CW (0.776 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5) opted for repeats of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.080 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T13), another "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.055 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T13) and a new "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" (0.485 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.1, #15).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.6/3; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.1/4 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.3/4 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/3 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.2/1 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (1/12/18):

CBS (9.126 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.0, #1) held onto the top spot on Friday with its mainstays "MacGyver" (8.091 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T2), "Hawaii Five-0" (9.264 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T2) and "Blue Bloods" (10.023 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T2).

FOX (2.902 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #2) then took home the silver with a new "Hell's Kitchen" (3.560 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.1, #1) and a repeat "9-1-1" (2.245 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T9).

Next up was NBC (3.525 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T3) with the winter premieres of "Blindspot" (3.567 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T7), "Taken" (2.757 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #11) and "Dateline NBC" (4.252 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T5).

Meanwhile, ABC (3.225 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T3) offered up originals from "Child Support" (4.119 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T5), "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" (2.294 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T9) and "20/20" (3.263 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T7).

And finally, a new "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" (0.696 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T12) and a repeat "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" (0.959 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T12) rounded out the night on The CW (0.827 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5).
