Monday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Tops Charts with "The Voice" Surge

Here are the highlights of the 12 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (3/16/20):

NBC (8.086 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.4, #1) surged to the top spot on Monday thanks to new episodes of "The Voice" (9.874 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1) and "Manifest" (4.509 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.8, #7).

ABC (6.268 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #2) was the silver draw with a new "American Idol" (6.292 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 1.2, #3) and "Pandemic: What You Need to Know - A Special Edition of 20/20" (6.221 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T4).

Next up was FOX (5.098 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3) with the return of "9-1-1" (6.793 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.4, #2) and "Prodigal Son" (3.404 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T8).

Meanwhile, CBS (6.687 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) offered up new episodes of "The Neighborhood" (7.373 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #T4), "Bob (Hearts) Abishola" (6.816 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.9, #6), "All Rise" (5.854 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T8) and "Bull" (7.112 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T8).

And finally, the relocated "Supernatural" (1.014 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T11) and the season premiere of "Roswell, New Mexico" (0.769 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T11) closed out the night on The CW (0.891 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5).

FOX (5.510 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.1, #2) then claimed the silver with a new "The Resident" (5.075 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T4) and the return of "9-1-1" (5.945 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2).

Next up was ABC (5.486 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #3) with the Monday premiere of "American Idol" (6.047 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.1, #3) followed by the launch of "The Fix" (4.366 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T9).

Meanwhile, CBS (5.294 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #4) served up its combination of "The Big Bang Theory" (5.777 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T4), a new "Man with a Plan" (5.077 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T4), another "The Big Bang Theory" (4.578 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7), "The Neighborhood" (3.672 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #11) and a new "Bull" (6.330 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T9).

And finally, The CW (0.937 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the night with a new "Arrow" (1.025 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.3, #12) and the season finale of "Black Lightning" (0.849 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #13).

· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.6/5; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.7/8; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.7/5.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.4/3; "Late Show," 0.3/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.3/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.0/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.1/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.2/2 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.1/1.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/3 in metered-market households and a 0.1/1 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
